The great story of a small bistro... Like a treasure buried in the heart of Faubourg St-Jean, a really well-kept secret ... the story of The Hobbit. This small, unpretentious bistro, is a reflection of the character of Tolkien, it carries with it the greatness of a story whose echo is still heard today at the cafe. Over time, it became the place where culinary delights come together in an ambiance worthy of a warm and cozy home. Excellent dinner. Service was superb, very professional & friendly. We were a party of four, & every one of us came away extremely satisfied. It's busy, so I would recommend making reservations ahead of time. BTW, they don't take Amex, just so you know. This is a wonderful restaurant! I highly recommend it.

The best meal we had while visiting Quebec. The fresh soup was amazing. I had the Vegetarian Wellington & my husband had the Guinea Fowl. Both dishes exceeded our expectations. Dessert were outstanding. We had a reservation, highly recommends having. The restaurant is very quaint. .

This place is really good. We had the best dinner we've had in Quebec City & that is saying a lot. The service was friendly & very professional, the food is imaginative & well-prepared, the desserts were fantastic & the cocktails had a nice twist. In a place like Quebec City which is rich in fine restaurants, we wouldn't normally go twice to the same place, but next time we visit, the Hobbit Bistro will certainly be on our list.
