Founded in 1978 by Jacques Fortier and Jean-Luc Boulay, Le Saint-Amour has become an iconic institution in Quebec City, embodying the influence of Quebec gastronomy. Offering haute French cuisine inspired by exceptional regional products, renowned chef Jean-Luc Boulay and his team combine traditional know-how and modern techniques to pay tribute to local producers and offer a gourmet, refined and unique gastronomic experience.

Le Saint-Amour is ranked among the top 10 favourite fine dining restaurants in Canada by travellers, according to TripAdvisor (2014, 2015, 2016 and 2020 Travellers' Choice Awards). Our wine cellar , housing over 15,000 carefully selected bottles, is also among the top 10 wine selections in Canada, with prestigious vintages from all over the world. Over the years, we have had the honour of welcoming renowned celebrities, such as Sir Paul McCartney, Sting, Alicia Keys, Johnny Hallyday, Charles Aznavour, and many others, who have chosen Le Saint-Amour during their stay in Quebec City.

Le Saint-Amour was awarded 4 stars by the prestigious Debeur Guide and was crowned Restaurant of the Year in 2011. This recognition is in addition to the many distinctions received by Chef Jean-Luc Boulay : Chevalier de l'Ordre national du Québec in 2024, the highest honorary distinction awarded by the Quebec government, Maître Cuisinier de France, Officier de l'Ordre du Mérite Agricole de France medal, Governor General of Canada's Award for the Arts of the Table, as well as the Prix Hommage Renaud-Cyr. Also recognized for his dedication to passing on his knowledge, Chef Boulay shares his passion with new generations, notably as a permanent judge on the show Les Chefs! , broadcast on Radio-Canada since 2010 and with 13 seasons to date.

Le menu dégustation sur la carte du printemps est très bien. L'accord des vins proposé par Alexandre est exceptionnel. Pour ma part, du jamais vu. Chaque membre du personnel depuis notre arrivée au restaurant jusqu'au dessert à la table est hors pair, attentif, courtois & professionnel. Chacun a pris le soin de bien répondre à nos questions.
C'était notre première visite depuis le déconfinement. De deux choses l'une : soit nous avions oublié la qualité exceptionnelle du personnel, le service & le
menu ; soit que chaque élément de l'institution du Chef Jean-Luc Boulay & son personnel ont réussi à encore nous surprendre e nous épaté.

Le Saint- Amour was a truly wonderful experience, beginning with a perfectly crafted Manhattan through to the flambéed creme brûlée with marshmallows to toast for dessert! The bison & sea bass were cooked to perfection & married beautifully with their respectful accompaniments. Our server, Zackary, was terrific. He handled us, enjoyably, with great professionalism & a mix of humor! Le Saint-Amour will definitely be on our list the next time we visit Quebec City.

Food was amazing! Service staff was okay & expected to be a bit more polished. Just the flow awkward & did not flow smoothly. after dinner & before dessert, i Had to ask for coffee 3 times.

Beautiful restaurant setting. Very limited menu. Hard for us to find anything we wanted. They were out of halibut & substituted cod. No vegetables or salads offered. Food was fancy but not flavorful. Desserts were pretty but again not flavorful. I know it's a popular spot but not for me. Also the service was slow. 30 minutes till we even got a drink.

Ils peuvent se vanter d'avoir un grand Chef & toute une équipe de professionnels pour notre grand bonheur d'avoir vécue une soirée exceptionnelle. Le menu gastronomique offert & les plats choisis étaient dignes des plus grands restos, de la mise en bouche jusqu'au dessert tant dans leur raffinement que dans la présentation. Le personnel en salle de cette belle équipe ajoute à notre expérience. Bravo au chef & à tout l'équipe.

Excellent poelé de foie gras & succulente terrine de foie gras . Plat de fletan tres original .Par contre desserts decevants ( sesame finger & pana cota ). Service impeccable .

Une grande table! Une expérience mémorable, de l'accueil au dessert! Salle à manger lumineuse, aérée & confortable. Personnel courtois, très attentionné & hyper compétent. Expérience foie gras divine, meilleurs ris de veau à vie. Super choix de vin au verre... Je pourrais continuer ainsi très longtemps. Ça vaut la peine d'aller au resto moins souvent mais d'y aller en grand à cette table d'exception. Merci & bravo à toute l'équipe!
