A Birthday Full of Surprises at Le Saint-Amour
Our experience at Le Saint-Amour was pure magic from start to finish. To celebrate my husband's birthday, I had requested a special card to be placed at the table - & they went above & beyond.
They brought the card hidden under a silver cloche, just like a fine dish. My husband thought they were serving him a course… but when he lifted the cover, he found a heartfelt birthday note instead. It was such a sweet, unforgettable surprise that made us both smile.
The food was extraordinary - every dish beautifully crafted & bursting with flavor. The service was flawless: warm, attentive, & full of small touches that made the evening feel truly personal.
Le Saint-Amour didn't just serve us dinner; they gave us a memory we'll cherish forever. Thank you for making his birthday so special

Simply the Best restaurant in Quebec City. Convenient location in the heart of Old Town. Perfect place for any special occasion birthday or anniversary date. The 7 course French tasting menu is superb & offers the best of local meats & fruits. The preparation is exquisite & so delicious. Small portions are just right. Knowledgeable & friendly staff. The main dining room is beautifully decorated like Belle Epoque Paris. With wine, tax (15% in Canada ! ) & tip we spent $535 Canadian which is only about $387 US dollars total for 2 people. Well worth it for such a memorable dinner.

We celebrated my partner's Birthday at Le Saint - Amore & it was a wonderful experience on many levels: the food was cooked to perfection: it truly is a dining experience more so than just a dinner, champagne was a great add on, atmosphere was charming & cozy, very attentive Staff. We would definitely recommend it for any celebration!

We visited Le Saint-Amour in Quebec City to celebrate my wife's birthday on August 20, & overall, it was a wonderful experience. The quality of the food was outstanding, with each dish beautifully prepared & full of flavor. The restaurant's decor is elegant & charming, creating a perfect atmosphere for a special occasion. The service was top-notch from start to finish. Our main waiter was attentive & professional, & the staff who brought & explained each course & cocktail were knowledgeable & added a special touch to the evening. Their detailed explanations enhanced our appreciation of the meal. The only hiccup was that I had noted in the reservation that it was my wife's birthday, & I was hoping for a small acknowledgment or greeting from the staff. Unfortunately, that detail seems to have been missed, & her birthday went unmentioned, which was a bit disappointing. Despite this, Le Saint-Amour delivered an exceptional dining experience, & I would still highly recommend it for anyone looking for a memorable meal in Quebec City.

Best restaurant in Quebec hands down. Not going to lie, wish there were a bit more accommodating for my requests (spouses's birthday) especially since I made a reservation ahead of time, but I'm glad I stayed for my dinner. Not a single complaint for any of the dishes we ordered. Everything was perfect. Thank you for an exceptional dinner.

Where do I even begin?! We went to celebrate my husband's birthday. We got to visit their wine cellar & it was such a special moment. What a treat! Our waiter took time & effort to explain everything about the cellar. The menu was great, their lobster dish was superb. The fois gras experience was super fun! Overall Aesthetic of the place was great. It was very cozy. Perfect place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary.

That evening I was celebrating my birthday & was looking for a special experience. Actually, we had reservations at Chez Boulay but left to come to Le Saint-Amour because it felt a bit too casual to celebrate the day. So we were looking for a great evening but was disappointed by the overall experience. Not sure what it was, but it everything was just okay, not fantastic which were expecting. Part of it was the pacing, it took forever to get from one dish to another, & we weren't having the discovery menu. A bit disappointing which made the whole evening feel long & slow. The food was good, but probably won't be back if I visit Quebec City in the future.

My wife & I just spent 4 days in Quebec City & saved our dinner at Le Saint-Amour until the last evening. It was a special Birthday dinner for my wife & we could not have had a better experience. Everything about the evening was world class. The food, the atmosphere, the attentive, polite & knowledgeable staff were all amazing. We highly recommend Le Saint-Amour & think it will be a highlight of your time in Quebec City too!

Unfortunately a disappointing experience. Whilst some of the food was good, the scallop was overcooked & tough. The service was slow, for which our waiter did apologise but for the prices charged i expected better. A shame as it was my partners birthday & all in all a poor end to our stay in quebec.

Our family arrived late due to unforeseen confusion. The staff graciously accommodated us without hesitation, demonstrating an exceptional level of customer service from the outset. As we dined with our energetic two-year-old, we were initially concerned about potentially disrupting other guests. However, the staff's keen attentiveness quickly assuaged our worries as they offered to open a separate room for our comfort & enjoyment.

Their thoughtfulness extended to the culinary experience as well. Understanding our vegetarian preferences, they crafted a remarkable seven-course tasting menu that accommodated our dietary restrictions. Each dish showcased the kitchen's creativity, attention to detail, & commitment to using high-quality ingredients.

The wait staff were warm, helpful, & friendly, further elevating our experience. Having had the pleasure of dining at upscale restaurants worldwide, I can confidently say that Le Saint-Amour stands out as the best we've encountered.
