Fantastic place in the heart of Quebec city. The food was outstanding - especially the foie gras. I have the squab - so delicious & the dessert was so savory. Our server was very knowledge about this dishes & was so nice. Had a great time at this place.

FRIDAY, june 16, 2023. very limited menu with odd selections. we opted for the 7 course tasting menu, $155.00 pp. very disappointing. our worst dining experience of the weekend. amuse bouche was a small meatball in a bread coating over a slice of carrot. Please excuse the everyday wording of the food. i am not a foodie, but i am calling it the way we saw it. i am sure there was a lot of work in preparing these dishes, & the explanation & presentation was excellent. you could tell the servers & staff were passionate about their craft. second course was foie gras with toast points. 3rd course was three small (quarter sized) scallops with a slice of leek. fourth course was waygo beef (raw) with micro greens & parsnip puree. A pallet cleanser was served. rasberry sorbet with an alcohol base. the alcohol was distracting & detracted from the serving (in our opinion) the main course was a pork chop with mussell (1 musssell) greens & 3 orange slices. the flavors & textures of this dish did not go well together. best part of the meal was a cream puff with ice cream. they also offered a wine pairing for $ $135.00 pp. (we did not take). if you are a foodie, maybe this is a place you would enjoy, but we would not return.

Such a friendly place to have an elegant dinner. My husband is handicapped & we've never had such a warm greeting & care. The food was first class. I've never had foie gras before; it was luscious. The dessert was the best thing I've ever eaten. You cannot go wrong following the waiter's guidance.

as usual the food was excellent & for that we give a 5 star review. It became annoying to always ask for butter when some bread was brought, actually we had to ask for bread & then when the tiny 4 pieces were gone no one thought of offering any more, so we asked, & then had to ask for butter AGAIN, then when those 4 tiny pieces were gone we had to ask AGAIN & of course no butter so we had to ask for butter AGAIN.
for a 5 star restaurant one excepts exceptionalism on all points, not just the food, but all details of services, including being served in English, despite having a French name, the waiter was very aware that we spoke English but insisted on speaking French ... not professional as he made an effort to speak in English at other tables.
When you're paying over 50 a plate you expect the rack of lamb to come medium rare, as ordered, the FIRST time ... & not have to wait for them to get it right ...
VERY IMPORTANT POINT: for those physically & mobility challenged there is no handicapped washroom on the main floor, so i had to climb up, & down, 2 flights of stairs not a great way to end the evening.
BUT the foie gras is truly exceptional & the mushroom butter!
