Founded in 1978 by Jacques Fortier and Jean-Luc Boulay, Le Saint-Amour has become an iconic institution in Quebec City, embodying the influence of Quebec gastronomy. Offering haute French cuisine inspired by exceptional regional products, renowned chef Jean-Luc Boulay and his team combine traditional know-how and modern techniques to pay tribute to local producers and offer a gourmet, refined and unique gastronomic experience.

Le Saint-Amour is ranked among the top 10 favourite fine dining restaurants in Canada by travellers, according to TripAdvisor (2014, 2015, 2016 and 2020 Travellers' Choice Awards). Our wine cellar , housing over 15,000 carefully selected bottles, is also among the top 10 wine selections in Canada, with prestigious vintages from all over the world. Over the years, we have had the honour of welcoming renowned celebrities, such as Sir Paul McCartney, Sting, Alicia Keys, Johnny Hallyday, Charles Aznavour, and many others, who have chosen Le Saint-Amour during their stay in Quebec City.

Le Saint-Amour was awarded 4 stars by the prestigious Debeur Guide and was crowned Restaurant of the Year in 2011. This recognition is in addition to the many distinctions received by Chef Jean-Luc Boulay : Chevalier de l'Ordre national du Québec in 2024, the highest honorary distinction awarded by the Quebec government, Maître Cuisinier de France, Officier de l'Ordre du Mérite Agricole de France medal, Governor General of Canada's Award for the Arts of the Table, as well as the Prix Hommage Renaud-Cyr. Also recognized for his dedication to passing on his knowledge, Chef Boulay shares his passion with new generations, notably as a permanent judge on the show Les Chefs! , broadcast on Radio-Canada since 2010 and with 13 seasons to date.

Nous avions le repas des fêtes, édition 2020... & c'était un sacré repas! Meilleure crémeuse à vie, dessert simple mais complexe à la fois, qui regorgeait de saveurs & de textures qui laissait place à l'imagination pour en faire la présentation, caille impeccable (sauce tellement savoureuse qu'on avait le goût de la boire) & mise en bouche délectable qui a donné le ton au reste du repas. Merci à toute l'équipe pour la conception du repas & son exécution!

La caille en croûte était divine, tout comme la bûche de foie gras. Comme mises en bouches, nous avons reçu seulement 2 bouchées au lieu de 4. La crème de sève de bouleau blanc était manquante...
Pour le menu canard, à part la viande trop cuite à notre goût, les saveurs étaient présente.

Nous avons tout apprécié. Une entrée diversifiée, équilibrée & absolument succulente. Un repas digne du Saint-Amour, un goût, une harmonie des saveurs & une qualité exceptionnelle. On termine par un dessert riche, mais savoureux & une portion juste assez généreuse. On conclut en disant que l'expérience en valait le coût. MERCI
