Founded in 1978 by Jacques Fortier and Jean-Luc Boulay, Le Saint-Amour has become an iconic institution in Quebec City, embodying the influence of Quebec gastronomy. Offering haute French cuisine inspired by exceptional regional products, renowned chef Jean-Luc Boulay and his team combine traditional know-how and modern techniques to pay tribute to local producers and offer a gourmet, refined and unique gastronomic experience.

Le Saint-Amour is ranked among the top 10 favourite fine dining restaurants in Canada by travellers, according to TripAdvisor (2014, 2015, 2016 and 2020 Travellers' Choice Awards). Our wine cellar , housing over 15,000 carefully selected bottles, is also among the top 10 wine selections in Canada, with prestigious vintages from all over the world. Over the years, we have had the honour of welcoming renowned celebrities, such as Sir Paul McCartney, Sting, Alicia Keys, Johnny Hallyday, Charles Aznavour, and many others, who have chosen Le Saint-Amour during their stay in Quebec City.

Le Saint-Amour was awarded 4 stars by the prestigious Debeur Guide and was crowned Restaurant of the Year in 2011. This recognition is in addition to the many distinctions received by Chef Jean-Luc Boulay : Chevalier de l'Ordre national du Québec in 2024, the highest honorary distinction awarded by the Quebec government, Maître Cuisinier de France, Officier de l'Ordre du Mérite Agricole de France medal, Governor General of Canada's Award for the Arts of the Table, as well as the Prix Hommage Renaud-Cyr. Also recognized for his dedication to passing on his knowledge, Chef Boulay shares his passion with new generations, notably as a permanent judge on the show Les Chefs! , broadcast on Radio-Canada since 2010 and with 13 seasons to date.

This stunning, gourmet restaurant is treat. Familiar dishes are reborn as amazing appetizers, mains or desserts. The surroundings are lovely, the wine list is incredible, & the service staff have your interest at heart. Yes, it's expensive but not incredibly so & a visit will make any occasion a special one.

The food, as usual, was excellent. The service, however, was well below expectations from this restaurant. Except for the sommelier pouring our first glass of wine, we had to pour our own & our water was never replenished. All the tables around us appeared to get the expected attention, with one table in particular getting most of the attention. They are obviously regulars, well known by the servers. Our main course took 2 hours & 15 minutes to arrive. We just expected a little more for a dinner that cost $800. for dinner & wine for 2 people.

Such a great experience! We did table d'hote with wine pairing. The food & drink matches were incredible. Tasted so many complex favours throughout. Service is very good & thoughtful, the dishes & wines were presented very well, & the waiters always left us lots of time & space. The restaurant is so beautiful too. Overall the experience exceeded my expectation!

Absolutely amazing. We had the chef menu & wine pairing. The food was exquisite, the pairing was spot on with some unique wines, & the service was fantastic . The garden room has a wonderful ambiance that made the night that much better !

Amazing meal! We had the 7 course discovery meal with wine pairing. Hands down the best meal I have ever had. The whole experience was perfect. Superior customer service & all the staff work well together as a team to give their customers a perfect experience!

The food was outstanding & the service as very good. We had assistance in choosing the menu which helped our choice. Perhaps the only criticism was that the wine list was far too long. That said it was an impressive selection.

A very fine meal .
The room is beautiful - a very nice ambiance.
The wine pairings were a great complement to the various courses.
The food was all very good . There was nothing that blew me away but everything was very enjoyable although perhaps too much duck (I do like duck - what could be better than a good foie gras). The three duck dishes were all good dishes - the foie gras was exceptional with great tastes to accent the richness of the dish. It is just that their were three duck tastings including the amuse bouche immediately followed by the foie gras. The duck breast was good.
The service was friendly . professional & accommodating . They were able to pair some very nice wines for my partner who didn't want the full pairings - a service that is very appreciated.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant & will go again if back in this beautiful city.
