Also recognized for his dedication to passing on his knowledge, Chef Boulay shares his passion with new generations, notably as a permanent judge on the show Les Chefs! , broadcast on Radio-Canada since 2010 and with 13 seasons to date.

An essential address in Old Quebec for local gastronomes and gourmet travelers, Le Saint-Amour embodies excellence and the quest for a culinary experience that is both surprising and unforgettable on a daily basis.

Beautiful place to have dinner in Quebec. Wife's dinner was excellent. My dinner (Tuna) was good but it was not trimmed well so some parts could not be eaten. Wine steward was a bit pushy & talked us into a wine more expensive than what we intended. The desserts were unbelievable! In all, a very pleasant evening that would have been perfect except for the above.

We had a wonderful meal. The service was exceptional. We did have one negative experience when we ordered a bottle of wine stated in the book to be a 2016 vintage. When presented at the table & on the verge of opening we realized it was a 2019 vintage. Upon reviewing the wine list this 2019 did not appear. The error was corrected & the proper vintage was received. I'm sure it was a mis-pick by staff. We will come back & enjoy your fine restaurant again in the future.

This restaurant is extremely overrated. Very small portions, of quite tasteless food--if not for the sauces. Their fois gras was tasteless--not worth the cost. The wine paring was dreadful. Can't recommend this place.

The first course & dessert were out of thiss world great ! Entree (squab & port) were not quite at that level. I had my entree for several minutes before my wine was served - yes it was very very busy with some large parties. I also had to ask for my check versus being asked if we were all set & offering to get our check ready. Definitely will recommened this to friends & will come back !!

Our impression: when we only ordered a bottle of wine instead of the wine pairing with the 7 course tasting menu offered for $250 per person, our waiter was no longer attentive to our table. All our courses were then delivered by the woman clearing the tables
A very unwelcoming evening.

We had the 7 course menu with the wine paring. Food & wine pairings were great. Timing was off for food & wine on multiple occasions. We were there for over 4 hours to complete the courses. Some courses had 45 minutes between, & others came out at an appropriate pace. Wine wine for the 4th course came out before the 3rd course was served. Food for the 6th course came out 10 minutes before the wine pairing. Then waited 45 minutes after clearing 6th course for dessert.

These process issues need resolution. It completely undermined what could have been an exceptional experience.

Multiple other guests were frustrated as well.

Wonderful way to celebrate our 30 wedding anniversary! The food, wine & ambiance were superb! But the staff were beyond the exceptional! Thank you all for an excellent forgettable evening.

One of the best French meals. We had the chef's 7 course tasting with wine pairings.

Foie gras, foie gras & many different declinations of foie gras.

Baby pigeon stuffed with ... foie gras & perfectly cooked porcelet (without foie gras).

Also the best little piece of halibut I ever tasted. That little piece of fish was really quite welcome, after all the foie gras.

We had the complete gastronomical menu, including amazing wines... & more foie gras than I would have liked.

At 600$ per person (yes) , was it worth it? Frankly there was an overload of foie gras. Too much of a good thing is not great.

The wines were quite exceptional, though. Probably worth it.
