Founded in 1978 by Jacques Fortier and Jean-Luc Boulay, Le Saint-Amour has become an iconic institution in Quebec City, embodying the influence of Quebec gastronomy. Offering haute French cuisine inspired by exceptional regional products, renowned chef Jean-Luc Boulay and his team combine traditional know-how and modern techniques to pay tribute to local producers and offer a gourmet, refined and unique gastronomic experience.

Le Saint-Amour is ranked among the top 10 favourite fine dining restaurants in Canada by travellers, according to TripAdvisor (2014, 2015, 2016 and 2020 Travellers' Choice Awards). Our wine cellar , housing over 15,000 carefully selected bottles, is also among the top 10 wine selections in Canada, with prestigious vintages from all over the world. Over the years, we have had the honour of welcoming renowned celebrities, such as Sir Paul McCartney, Sting, Alicia Keys, Johnny Hallyday, Charles Aznavour, and many others, who have chosen Le Saint-Amour during their stay in Quebec City.

Le Saint-Amour was awarded 4 stars by the prestigious Debeur Guide and was crowned Restaurant of the Year in 2011. This recognition is in addition to the many distinctions received by Chef Jean-Luc Boulay : Chevalier de l'Ordre national du Québec in 2024, the highest honorary distinction awarded by the Quebec government, Maître Cuisinier de France, Officier de l'Ordre du Mérite Agricole de France medal, Governor General of Canada's Award for the Arts of the Table, as well as the Prix Hommage Renaud-Cyr. Also recognized for his dedication to passing on his knowledge, Chef Boulay shares his passion with new generations, notably as a permanent judge on the show Les Chefs! , broadcast on Radio-Canada since 2010 and with 13 seasons to date.

Where do I even begin?! We went to celebrate my husband's birthday. We got to visit their wine cellar & it was such a special moment. What a treat! Our waiter took time & effort to explain everything about the cellar. The menu was great, their lobster dish was superb. The fois gras experience was super fun! Overall Aesthetic of the place was great. It was very cozy. Perfect place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary.

Évidemment, parlant de ce restaurant, il est difficile de bien décrire la grand du service & de la nourriture, spécialement lors du 45e anniversaire du restaurant! Ça été un moment gastronomique magnifique (comme d'habitude)! Il s'agit véritablement d'un restaurant qui permet une expérience unique, créateur de souvenirs durables! Un endroit où retourner!

Une expérience hors du commun! Le menu dégustation de 7 services fut choisi. Le service était excellent. La cuisson, les gouts, la présentation & l'ambiance sont plus que parfaits. Le Chef Boulay & son équipe ont offerts un véritable service raffiné.

Nous avons passé un moment exceptionnel dans ce restaurant. La terrine de foie gras & l'expérience foie gras sont exceptionnels. L'agneau est succulent. Le service est tout simplement impeccable & fait avec passion. La carte des vins est impressionnante. Le décor intérieur est somptueux & le jardin d'hiver très joliment décoré. Nous retournerons ici avec grand plaisir.

We ordered the grand discovery set with the must-order foie gras & lots of local Quebec ingredients like venison & mushrooms. The service is very good, every dish will be explained to me in English, very warm & friendly, the environment is very good. Plus, it's fun to order flaming marshmallows

Tasty, beautiful food, in a romantic setting. We were able to dine, even though we did not have a reservation, we just did not seat in the beautifully decorated room, but that was ok. Both meals cost us more than the car rental & the Hilton bedroom put together, but I must say it was a nice meal, so it was worthy. The ingredients were top quality & the meals were balanced & filling. The amouse-bouche on the house was delicious too. There was one member of staff that tried to be funny, but I cut that interaction short in an assertive manner, & the rest went well. The restaurant manager/owner (?) was excellent, & gave us very good recommendations for drinks. The bill for food was 220 dollars, but with service fee, federal tax & Quebec City tax, the total bill reached 298.

For the appetizer there were 3 based on foie gras, so diluting the appetizer offering, we didn't get the little white box at the end of the meal like other people around us.
