Founded in 1978 by Jacques Fortier and Jean-Luc Boulay, Le Saint-Amour has become an iconic institution in Quebec City, embodying the influence of Quebec gastronomy. Offering haute French cuisine inspired by exceptional regional products, renowned chef Jean-Luc Boulay and his team combine traditional know-how and modern techniques to pay tribute to local producers and offer a gourmet, refined and unique gastronomic experience.

Le Saint-Amour is ranked among the top 10 favourite fine dining restaurants in Canada by travellers, according to TripAdvisor (2014, 2015, 2016 and 2020 Travellers' Choice Awards). Our wine cellar , housing over 15,000 carefully selected bottles, is also among the top 10 wine selections in Canada, with prestigious vintages from all over the world. Over the years, we have had the honour of welcoming renowned celebrities, such as Sir Paul McCartney, Sting, Alicia Keys, Johnny Hallyday, Charles Aznavour, and many others, who have chosen Le Saint-Amour during their stay in Quebec City.

Le Saint-Amour was awarded 4 stars by the prestigious Debeur Guide and was crowned Restaurant of the Year in 2011. This recognition is in addition to the many distinctions received by Chef Jean-Luc Boulay : Chevalier de l'Ordre national du Québec in 2024, the highest honorary distinction awarded by the Quebec government, Maître Cuisinier de France, Officier de l'Ordre du Mérite Agricole de France medal, Governor General of Canada's Award for the Arts of the Table, as well as the Prix Hommage Renaud-Cyr. Also recognized for his dedication to passing on his knowledge, Chef Boulay shares his passion with new generations, notably as a permanent judge on the show Les Chefs! , broadcast on Radio-Canada since 2010 and with 13 seasons to date.

Serveur & cuisiniers ont fait l'impossible pour s'adapter à la sévère intolérance de mon épouse envers le lactose.
Mille mercis d'avoir si bien pris soin d'elle. Ça a rendu cette soirée d'anniversaire inoubliable.

A chaque année depuis que nos garçons sont assez vieux pour apprécié des bons repas nous sortons dans le temps des fêtes dans un des plus beaux restaurant à Québec.
En général tout a été très apprécié mais vois quelques commentaires qui se veulent constructifs.
Nous aurions espéré une ambiance un peu plus festive consdiérant le temps des fêtes.
En arrivant, la salle sentait un peu l'humidité. Ca fait drôle pour un reestaurant de votre envergure.
Certains ont beaucoup apprécié le pigeonneau d'autres beaucoup moins car les pièces n'étaient pas toutes très belles.
Tout était un peu trop salé.
Le repas végétarien n'était pas à la hauteur de ce qu'on entend. On aurait dit que c'était de l'improvisé sur le champs avec ce qu'il y avait dans la cuisine.
Autrement tout était merveilleux. Les choix d'accords & le service était super!

We celebrated New Year's Eve at Le Saint-Amour & it was incredibly wonderful, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., accompanied by atmospheric music, we tasted the most wonderful bouquet of wine flavors from French vineyards. The menu prepared for this occasion exceeded our expectations, it was delicious, the dishes & their types served by super professional service were the essence of what is delicious & tasty. I am very impressed & we will definitely come back here

We had a lovely dinner & enjoyed the wine recommended by the sommelier. The only small complaint is that after being seated we had to wait a long time for service..it seemed like we had been forgotten. Many thanks otherwise.

Une autre soirée des plus agréable, menu des plus intéressant certaines présentations exceptionnelles dont ' l'Huitre '. Le Foie Gras & le Carpaccio de Fromage .
Par contre je garde une petite gêne pour le Parfait glacé
Pour la présentation & le goût 5 étoiles mais il était difficile à manger , difficile de se rendre à la glace sans l'écraser , le biscuit était trop croquant . (J'ai quand même presque tout mangé ) 😋

Excellent food & service. This was a fixed menu for New Year's eve & the only problem with the service was our waiter pushing for upgrades. This should not be happening in a restaurant at this level. We were also seated just below the main dining room & the lighting was terrible & the proximity to the kitchen did not work for us.
