Excellent (farm to table) menu with some surprising & different ingredients. The food was matched by the service. We were also pleased with the pace of the meal. There was no rush through to get us in & out, allowing us to savour the various courses & enhance the entire experience.

With SO MANY amazing restaurants to choose from in Quebec City, we chose Légende par la Tanière, based on reviews & the fact that all ingredients are locally sourced. Being Canadian that means a lot to us. My husband & I are lucky enough to have eaten at incredible restaurants all around the world, some Michelin Star, & some back-alley hidden gems..... Légende par la Tanière, was absolutely incredible! It was just as good or better as The meal we enjoyed at one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants . We enjoyed the 6 course tasting menu, & wine pairing ( I also suggest trying one of their Old Fashioneds- so good). It was truly a culinary journey starting at the IMPECCABLE service. From the moment we walked through the doors, to when we paid the check, the staff went over & above. Every course was artfully displayed on the plate, well explained by our servers, & delicious!!! I'm still thinking about the buffalo cheese, & honey butter/ bread course. My husband can't stop raving about the venison! We were celebrating our anniversary, & they gave us a complimentary dessert course with wine, which is unexpected but added so much to our experience. My husband & I can count on one hand our most memorable dining experiences, & this one just bumped a few down the list. Well done!

Beautiful atmosphere, wonderful service, & INCREDIBLE food. My wife & I had the tasting menu with the wine pairing & the food was so appealing that we entirely forgot to take any pictures of how beautiful it was! All of the food was locally sourced, the servers were able to tell us the origins of each of the ingredients, & were happy to tell us all about the dishes in English (our French is still progressing). I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone who loves to love their food.
My husband had a fabulous anniversary dinner here! We are by no means "foodies", but based on reviews we tried the tasting menu. We loved it. Every dish was complex & surprised our palates with new flavours. We also really enjoyed that the restaurant uses local ingredients & found that they were able to showcase ingredients we were used to seeing play supporting roles. Impecible service. Overall had a great evening. A must visit!
We had a wonderful experience at Legende. We were attracted by the reputation of the restaurant & the theme of locally sourced ingredients. We were not disappointed! We had the tasting menu. We were a little worried, because we are a difficult family to suit-- each of us has distinct allergies & preferences. The chef had no trouble at all. Each of us had a delicious, individually prepared 6 course meal with numerous small components & distinct flavors. There were lovely, unexpected touches, such as local ferns, & delicious accents with well-executed foams & gels. It isn't a cheap meal, but very reasonably priced for what it was. It was truly a meal to remember-- but not for people who like their food plain & simple. Thank you for a wonderful meal!
