Absolute perfection from start to finish, we opted for the tasting menu (great value at $110 for 6 courses) & purchased a bottle of wine to match all of the dishes. The staff were all very professional & had no issues conversing with us in English. Our only comment on the evening was that we wished there was a cheese course but that's a minor thing & I would recommend this place to visitors & locals.
If we could give this restaurant more than 5 stars, we absolutely would! We had a reservation at Légende last night for 6:30, & the lovely staff team was able to admit us early when we arrived. The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful, the tasting menu was delicious, both the wine pairing option & the non alcoholic pairing option were impressive, but most of all the service from Max the Maître de & Caroline the sommelier was amazing!!! Max really described to us the idea behind the menu, & created this magical experience. The entire team that was working last night was welcoming, their descriptions of the dishes were fantastic, & they even sent us home with these adorable little maple cookies! Best restaurant we have ever eaten at. Thank you thank you thank you :)
We went here & got the tasting menu. It was very good. We shared 1 wine pairing & 1 non alcoholic pairing & it was perfect. The non alcoholic cocktails were very impressive from start to finish & I think more restaurants should adopt this.
Outstanding dinner experience! We had the tasting menu with the wine pairing & absolutely loved it. The flavors were perfectly balanced & were just pure joy.
Major let down. The tasting menu felt randomly thrown together with a serious lack of theme & cohesion. The execution on the main meat dish (bison) was amateur. On the flip side, the cocktail team truly delivered. A lot of thoughts went into the drinks
If you have no dietary restrictions, personal preferences, or timetables, then this restaurant (& its unknowable tasting menu) are probably a great bet for you. If you don't fit into this mold, you may be as miserable as we were. I will say that the food (when it eventually came out an hour & a half later) was very good, & the supporting staff was very nice, but that's where the positive notes end. The a la carte menu only has "medium-sized" options that are neither appetizers nor entrees, they refused to accommodate our dietary restrictions (which would have only entailed cooking the food in something simple like olive oil, rather than adding their sauces), & if you ask for bread to hold you over until your food comes, you'll be told repeatedly that it's coming with the meal. All in all, it took us 2.5 hours to get a dozen oysters, one "entree" each, & a grossly under-poured glass of wine. By that time, we were all starving & aggravated, & the staff seemed utterly unperturbed by our obvious frustration. Save your money & go to L'Echaude or L'Orygine, which are also fine dining restaurants that actually care about their patrons' experience.
Wow!! The food here is phenomenal! We had the tasting menu & it did not disappoint. We were served an amuse-bouche & 6 courses after. Every single dish was so delicious! They also alter the recipes depending on your allergies or intolerances. The service was very attentive. I didn't have to refill my cup because he would pour it for me before I noticed that I needed more. Next time that I'm back in Quebec, this is the first restaurant that I would make reservations with 🤤🤤
