Légende offers an immersive fine dining experience centered on innovative boreal cuisine, where locally sourced ingredients are transformed into creative and beautifully presented tasting menus. Guests frequently praise the professional, attentive, and passionate service, noting that the staff often goes above and beyond to make celebrations feel special. The atmosphere is consistently described as cozy, elegant, and welcoming, making it a standout destination in Quebec City for those seeking a memorable culinary journey. While the majority of visitors leave feeling delighted by the complex flavors and thoughtfully curated wine and non-alcoholic pairings, a few have noted that the portion sizes or pacing can sometimes feel unconventional for a long-form tasting experience.
A great dining experience! The food was delicious & refined, the staff was also very knowledgeable about the dishes. The tasting menu was very good, & worth it. The service was impeccable & very thoughtful, a big thank you to the whole team !
Service was 10/10. I took away one star because we paid online for the 5 course tasting menu but when we arrived they began serving us the 7 course & charged us as if I had not already paid online. I had to clarify I already paid online & it wasn't until then that they caught the mistake. I do not mind spending the extra money for the 7 course but it would have been nice if they paid attention to what I ordered before they began serving.
The Ambient & lighting made a comforting & relaxing atmosphere. Service was superb. The 7 course tasting menu was well balanced (perfectly portioned) & every dish was amazing. Definitely the highlight of our weekend trip to Quebec City

Just wanted to say again a big "Thank You" to the team at Légende! Had a fabulous experience at this restaurant. Came here with my very good friends, & I wanted them to see this place & experience the food. Wish we had this restaurant in Toronto (where we are from). We decided to have the 7 course tasting menu with an addition of Canadian sturgeon caviar. It was a big hit with the gang. Our server Marc was very professional & yet still made the evening very fun & entertaining. He took great care of us, even let me take that little caviar tin home as a souvenir of this great night. I will not go into super fine detail of every course, but some highlights are as follows: Mises en Bouche (Tasting Box) The presentation first off was spectacular! The little branches that were used as skewers, super impressive. Chamomile course The elegance of chamomile oil with the pan seared scallop. Mhmmmmmm, mind-blowing. Dessert courses The first one you got was the tarragon ice-cream. I will say the flavors bring me back to a childhood drink that was popular in my country. I quite enjoy seeing tarragon used in a sweet manner. The end course just left all of us speechless. There is so much lemon flavor without the use of any lemons. To sum it up. Hats off to Chef Elliot Beaudoin & his team. He definitely helped us discover the hidden treasures of the Boreal region.
We had a marvelous time. Everyone was very attentive & worked as a well oiled team! We had the tasting menu. He had the wine pairing & she had the non-alcohol pairing. Both were amazing!
Two friends & I went to Legende for dinner recently. We must say that we had a lovely evening & indulged in the tasting menu - I would highly recommend. It left me feeling very satisfied but not so much so that I left feeling uncomfortable.
The cocktails & wine selection were excellent & the staff very helpful & made great efforts to speak to us English.
Near the end of the night an older woman & her son (or perhaps a yonger husband) were sat beside us. She was unfortunately one of those people who are never pleased. She complained porfousley when a dish she ordered was delivered "too late" for her liking (even though they requested their food arrive slower). She exclaimed on several occasions that no one would eat at 11 o'clock - even though she sat for dinner at 9:30pm. I must say the wait staff tried tirelessly to please her.
Again, great service even to those who did little to warrant it. If in Quebec City please check out!
If you're looking for something wonderful, totally local, & not like anything you've ever experienced before, this is for you. It's not cheap. But it's definitely worth the price. The restaurant prepares everything (& I do mean everything) from local sources. For example, they don't have lemon trees in Quebec. But they have things that are cleverly made with lemon balm, which IS grown locally. I highly recommend the tasting menu. It's over $100 per person, but worth it for the experience of so many incredible, distinctive, & wonderful flavors. The other problem (besides the price) is that everyone at the table has to order the tasting menu, or everyone goes a la carte. So try to agree ahead of time to go for the gold: the tasting menu. Otherwise, order two of the mains & a dessert & make sure others are willing to share. Portion sizes are not big at all, but not ridiculously small either. One of the a la carte mains will probably not fill you up, though. The tasting menu has 7 courses including smaller amounts of mains, & that will definitely fill you up. For most of us, this is definitely a splurge financially. But as a great way to remember a few days in Quebec City, it's very hard to beat. Everything tasted amazing.
We ordered the tasting menu with wine pairings. The clams were so tough that they could not be chewed. The beef was tough, it could not be chewed. The other courses were good, not great, except for the tomatoes with goat cheese. They were great.
The waiters either did not notice the spit out food, or chose to ignore it. My husband mentioned it to them. The main waiter came over & asked if we wanted another piece of steak. We said no. That was it, no apology, or any other acknowledgement.
The sommelier was attentive & knowledgeable & the wines were good.
Too bad, because the restaurant has a very nice ambience. It has the potential to live up to its hype.
We had an amazing 7 course tasting menu with wine pairing, each course had a different Canadian flower theme. The service was attentive & timely & the ambience in the restaurant fantastic. We would definitely come back here again.
Excellent restaurant, I did the tasting menu & wine pairing. The presentation was stunning but more importantly the food tasted incredible. The wines complemented each dish & the staff were very knowledgeable & friendly. If you're on the fence about going it is well worth making a reservation.
