Légende offers an immersive fine dining experience centered on innovative boreal cuisine, where locally sourced ingredients are transformed into creative and beautifully presented tasting menus. Guests frequently praise the professional, attentive, and passionate service, noting that the staff often goes above and beyond to make celebrations feel special. The atmosphere is consistently described as cozy, elegant, and welcoming, making it a standout destination in Quebec City for those seeking a memorable culinary journey. While the majority of visitors leave feeling delighted by the complex flavors and thoughtfully curated wine and non-alcoholic pairings, a few have noted that the portion sizes or pacing can sometimes feel unconventional for a long-form tasting experience.
It was our anniversary & we chose this restaurant because of the great reviews. What a great find ! We chose 5 entrees from the Ala Carte menu & each one was fabulous. Loved the guinea hen the best ! Great wine selection & the service was very personal & friendly. We highly recommend !!

Ate with my girlfriend after a long week of camping in the Quebec wilderness. We were very excited for this meal all week long. To begin, the service was outstanding. We had four different servers who paid constant attention to us & never let our glasses go less than 3/4 full. We ordered the 6 course tasting menu along with the wine tasting. We consider ourselves foodies on a limited budget, 500 dollar meals are once every few years for us, hence, we were very excited for this meal.
Now, the effort put into the meals was obviously there, in my opinion, too much effort/focus on being unique & not enough focus on flavour. Many restaurants with heavy price tags will focus on the creativity & complexity of their dishes & less on the actual wow factor of taste.
The restaurant was beautiful, service was incredible, the food was very underwhelming. I understand tasting menus change according to season, perhaps we got a bad roll of the dice. Presentation of the dishes was impeccable, creating an excitement which was not met with each bite, of which each course was about two bites.
I'm sorry, but cucumber is cucumber, making it into a foam or mousse does not improve it & it felt quite pretentious. Fettuccine alfredo with a rutabaga substitute for noodles is a sin. It felt like the effort to differentiate the ingredients outweighed the actual flavor & taste of the meal.
I understand that these restaurants are an experience in the culinary arts, but the fact that we spent 500 dollars & then immediately proceeded to get a poutine at a chip truck after our meal can sum up the experience.
Considering this was a meal we had planned for months....saved for...& were left still hungry afterwards, it was honestly heartbreaking. We do not make alot of money so a 500 dollar bill is something we needed to plan for & we did alot of research trying to find a perfect way to end our trip. Unfortunately this was not it.
If you can regularly afford this type of experience then go for it, it was fun, but not even close to worth it for us.
Outstanding service. Staff were attentive & welcomed our teen boys first experience with a tasting menu. Then it was supported with exceptional dishes from the kitchen with inventive flavour combinations, delightful presentation & a strong set of ideas about Quebec ingredients.
Absolute standout: the non-alcohol drink pairings from the bar. Imaginative, expertly crafted, delightful, even dramatic presentation & just leagues ahead of most craft cocktails. Have never witnessed this much care & attention for drinks that don't involve liquor. The wine pairings are great, the alternative concoctions are a more than worthy entry. Give serous consideration to ordering the flight of pairings.
Our entire dinner experience was exceptional from start to finish. The staff is very welcoming & extremely knowledgeable about what they present to you on the table, be it food or beverage. We had the chef's tasting menu with the wine pairing & every dish was so different from the last & every bite felt like a symphony of flavours in your mouth. A truly delightful experience that I would recommend to anyone who loves food & has an open mind to try a mix of comforting & unconventional dishes. I will DEFINITELY be back.
Last night we returned to Legend. Each time we travel to Quebec City this is one of our favorite places we look forward to. Each time we have splurged on the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Each & every time we eat here it's a culinary experience unlike any other. The dishes are unique & unlike anything you'll have anywhere else. The service is impeccable & staff is friendly & take their time to explain each dish & paired wine. This continues to be one of our favorite restaurants we've ever experienced.
Superb dining experience. We got 6-course tasting menu which included a unique carrot & mushroom dish & outstanding smoked duck. All ingredients from Quebec province (except wine). Wine pairings were creative & heightened the experience. "Luxury rustic cabin" decor was charming.
Valentine's day dinner 7 course dinner was outstanding! Service by Charles was efficient, friendly, knowledgeable. Wine pairings well chosen & explained. Food portions & preparation simply exquisite & imaginative. Ambiance lively but unobtrusive.
