This experience exceeded our expectations in many ways, from our arrival, during the dinner courses through to the end! Our server Brigitte was so friendly & helpful, & meeting the Chef at the end was awesome! We went as a couple, & were amazed at how engaging every moment was, given the fact we were in complete darkness ... an intimate food experrience, focussed on savouring every bite of dinner in a new way. Excellent meal & evening, highly recommend.

Quelle incroyable expérience! L'obscurité est si épaisse qu'elle en devient oppressante. Les yeux font mal tant ils cherchent à percer cette noirceur! Après un moment, le corps se détend & le plaisir s'installe. Vous aurez beau vous accrocher à votre fourchette comme un bébé à son hochet, vous finirez par manger avec vos doigts...
J'ai adoré & je vous recommande vivement de vivre ça au moins une fois... ensuite, imaginez une vie...

Life-changing experience! As a sighted person, I had to check my privilege at the door & just experience this meal. The wait staff are exceptional & the food was exquisite. I learned that I have no idea how to get food on my fork, & yes, I did use my hands to help get the food on my fork. Without being able to see the food, I just experienced the taste & found myself often confused about the different spices & textures. At the end of the meal, the chef showed me the the nine different plates that were served. Beef with battered fennel...who knew. Finally, I had no idea when the wait staff were talking to me; someone would be serving another table & I would answer as if she was talking to me. It was an educational experience about my privilege as a sighted person. This was more than just an excellent meal, it changed me as a person.
This restaurant experience was amazing! The staff welcomed us warmly & offered reassurances about any discomforts our group had. In fact, my husband experienced unexpected anxiety once in the dining room & was kindly escorted to the lobby to enjoy his meal. Our waiter was very professional & friendly. We loved seeing his guide dog in the lobby! We took our 18 & 20 year old daughters for this fun adventure. They were reticent, but it ended up being a highlight of our trip. The food was delicious & varied. I consider myself a bit of a "foodie," but was quite surprised at the end of the dinner to learn what some of the dishes included. I was way off in my assessments! The chef walked us through the meal we had eaten & clearly is very committed to his art. One of the big surprises was the beauty of his plating. He designs each plate as though the diners can see them. So incredible!

What a great experience!! My wife & I love good restaurants & we totally enjoyed an "around the world food experience (in the dark)" here. We are still talking about it which is rare for a restaurant. We loved our server/guide Brigitte & of course Jean-François the bartender/owner. Our friends here in Kentucky are astonished with our stories--for instance we said there was absolutely no light & our friend said "Not even candles?" Food, service & wine were all fabulous. I would recommend this place if you are in Quebec. We arrived, had a nice conversation with Brigitte, had a drink, then were lead into the pitch black room for our diner. The diner consisted of 9 courses, 3 appetizers, 3 main dishes & 3 dessert dishes. All were the perfect size. We also had a wine pairing which was also good. Nothing was spilled but your hands may get a bit messy. We were lead out & the Chef presented all the courses so we could see what we had. Nice place, nice staff, highly recommended!!! A far cry from Kentucky Bergoo!!!
Une cuisine très goûteuse, toutes les saveurs y passent. C'est une aussi façon de nous dire de prendre le temps de goûter & de reconnaître ce que l'on mange pour apprécier d'avantage le travail du/des chefs.
