We brought out of town friends here. Between us we ate pizza & pasta & everyone enjoyed their meal. For a Tuesday night this restaurant was packed so we were glad we reserved. A big thank you to Jolianne our waitress who was a real trouper. She took photos of us & with us. An altogether excellent evening.

Our 5:30 reservation was perfect timing, it was getting crowded quickly. I had the pasta Sapristi which was delicious & a glass of fine Tempranillo (don't judge, drink what you like) Grandson had flatbread Margaritas which he devoured with Gusto. Everything was flavorful & fresh. Service was attentive, English accepted, clean, efficient & reasonably priced. Relatively simple fare but well done.

Nice table by the window waiting for our last minute reservation. Service was friendly & accommodating to our English & specific cocktail requests. Everyone enjoyed their pasta & salads. Onion soup au gratin was delicious. Location convenient to many dessert places so save dessert for afterward. Picturesque just inside the fortress. Highly recommended!

We (2 persons) arrived at Sapristi Saint-Jean for a simple & not too high-priced meal (pasta was the decided dinner for the evening). But in addition to that, we received a pasta classing among the best either of us had ever tasted (neither could recall the last time we had tasted anything similar) & a friendly, attentive service, making the whole dining experience superb. If you like pasta, this is definitely the place to go! The simple yet tasteful ingredients, combined in a manner where every detail compliments the whole, constitutes dishes definitely worth trying (we confirmed our conclusion by trying the other Sapristi in town a few nights later with the same mind-blowing result). I fully recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a simple, calm dining environment with excellent food & service at an astonishing cost-benefit ratio.
