Ordered the miso raman, & was about to be given another one. The waiter realized the mistake & put through the correct order. But it seemed rush at the point. The broth was good, but found the serving size smaller than typical ramen bowls.
Restaurant authentique, service incroyable.
Vacationing from New Brunswick, solo & had to have some ramen while in Quebec. I will be back here!!! Sat at the counter. Atmosphere was on point. Loved looking up & seeing he inner workings for the business. Miso was buttery & the pork too melted in my mouth. So much so, I had to slow down the chewing to savour it, karaaga chicken was juicy with the spicy mayo & squeeze of lemon as the coup de grace, great pairing. It was a hot summer day & the Sapppro & Yuzu was more than I could have asked for. WORTH EVERY CENT! THANK YOU!!!

Nice little cozy shop. Our family of 7 went there at dinner time. Initially they said may need to split us in 2 tables but in the end gave us one big table. Staff were friendly. I ordered a miso-vege with kale noodles. Fantastic. The vegetables were very fresh. Normally I don't like bamboo shoot in Japanese style, but their bamboo shoot was fresh & the best tasting bamboo shoot I ever ate. My brother who hates vegetables also thought the vegetables tasted really good. I also ordered Umeshu. Best plum wine I drank outside Japan. My family ordered Kara-age (fried chicken). It was juicy & meat was fresh, with not too much starch powder or oil.
Some drawback to improve...
Need a better queuing system for customer. Initially I was a bit confused where to wait & whether need to inform staff that we would like to dine in when a lot of people was crowding around at the door.
The staff is friendly, tending to seat you as soon as possible. Word of advice, reserve or be prepared to wait a bit. There's always a queue.
The food is packed with flavor. The miso ramen broth is rich, yet delicate. The noodles are bouncy & hold the broth well. Also took the karage & it's very lightly breaded, which I prefer as you get to bite on the juicy chicken.
Another surprise is they have authentic melon Ramuné!
Saw that they have curry. Will have to try that next time!
It only makes sense to be trying all the French food that Quebec City has to offer, but I missed Asian food after my 3rd day here. We found Tora-Ya, which was the highest rated ramen joint in Quebec City (on Yelp), & everything was delicious! Service was also friendly & attentive. May I add, we were greeted in Japanese by both Japanese & non-Japanese staff members, which was really welcoming! We ordered the miso & shoyu ramens plus takoyaki, tako wasabi & edamame & we couldn't have asked for a better meal!

Crowded when we arrived & waited about half an hour in total for a seat & our food to arrive. But it was a good call & there were some Asian looking folks which validated our choice.
The miso ramen was nicely done like what we had in Japan. Broth was rich but do note that the chashu is different. It was thicker & not torched. The egg was also abit over cooked & not as runny. But overall still a good bowl of ramen!
The star for me was the Yakisoba! Nicely stirred fried noodles which go really well with the vegetables. Again it's slightly salty which I guessed it's the norm for Canadians.
Recommend for anyone yearning for a some Japanese food in Quebec.
Great spot with really good vegan ramen & a friendly staff. Also some great drinks (sake & plum liquor among other things). You have two good ramen choices within a 15 min walk (here & Hono). Hono has a more intimate atmosphere for a dinner date; while Tora-ya has a brighter livelier feel. For vegan options, Tora-ya's is a homey miso base with great veggies & savory tofu on top; Hono is a spicier richer broth with less veggie & soy protein. My partner & I were split on which we preferred - I think Hono was more decadent & Tora-ya more hearty. Can't go wrong either way

Belle ambiance & service courtois.
I recently tried the Omori Miso Ramen at Tora-ya Ramen in Quebec, & it was a great experience. The soup was delicious with rich, well-balanced flavors, & the staff was incredibly friendly, adding to the pleasant atmosphere. If you're in Quebec & craving ramen, Tora-ya is definitely worth a visit!
We visited this restaurant the first time. We waited about 15 mins for a table on a Sunday night. Our ramen arrived after 15 mins after we ordered them. The miso broth was rich. The noodles were cooked right. There were 3 pics of pork, an soft boiled egg & a lot of vegetables. Too bad that the pork was not tender enough. Otherwise, it'd be 5 stars. Parking was available on the street.
