About

A stone's throw from the Place de Paris, a place to quench your thirst is the Maison Leber. With a breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence River, cross beyond the closet to discover a warm and cozy place where you'll fall under the spell of hospitality, an array of cocktails and the flavors of mouth-watering dishes.

“Ici, l’espace d’un moment, on oublie terres hostiles, misères et épidémies. Une seule devise fait la loi: fraterniser, festoyer et se réchauffer le coeur et l’âme pour oublier les rigueurs de l’hiver et les tracas de la survivance. Santé!” [Jacques Boisdon - 1ᵉʳ aubergiste de Québec, 1648]

They only use ingredients that are indigenous to the area so they get very creative with the drink recipes & how to make them work. The drinks were ok & the apps that we got were tasty (the number of stars for the food is related more towards the drinks).

This was our favorite spot in Vieux Quebec. It's a slightly hidden cocktail bar behind Bistro L'Orygine. You make a separate reservation & then enter through a black door & green curtain.
Service is phenomenal. The bartenders & weight staff, as well as manager, all greet & serve you. They are extremely knowledgeable, & I love their forward thinking. They only use local ingredients for their drinks. If it doesn't grow in Canada or Quebec, they do not use it. So they do not use things like citrus. Instead, they come up with other ways to bring the flavor into their cocktails & food.
& definitely try some food! We went for the drinks, but the food blew our minds. We got some mixed tapa plates & loved it all- especially the homemade beef jerky.
The back patio is so nice during the summer. & the inside is a definite vibe. Can't wait to go back!

As a former bartender & a current home bartender, it was a little pretentious for me. Most ingredients on the menu are unrecognizable & they only use Québec sourced ingredients in their drinks. That's a great idea actually, if Québec produced better ingredients, to be honest. A bar with no lemons or olives is wild to me. I tried their namesake drink the Vieux Carré & it was ok. I am a big Old fashioned & Manhattan guy but this was a little in between, but without the great bourbon flavor those present, as it was a Canadian rye. My friend ordered an interesting drink with olive oil, pepper & other ingredients. We felt it was very interesting to try, but not something we would want to drink again & definitely not refreshing. Overall the ambiance was amazing & the bartenders friendly & knowledgeable, but the drinks are not great, especially for the high prices. I'd appreciate more classic ingredients, but maybe that's just me...

Part of the Michelin star restaurant, the bar section has good vibe. Staff are friendly & professional. David served us & his kind attitude made our drinks more memorable.
We had Birdie & Vieux Carre from premium list,
We also ordered Cuban sandwich with homemade mustard. It was as tasty & good as ones you get in Cuban, Key West, …
I'd say in our top 5 Cubano we ever had.
Drinks are not using natural citrus but using replaced ingredients from Quebec to inmate the flavor, scent, & taste.

Amazing place, great atmosphere & great cocktails. Our waiter knew everything about each coctail & guided us greatly for anything we needed. If you are looking for a great place in old Quebec to enjoy cocktails or a drink thats the one.

A dreamy, cozy, romantic little spot with excellent cocktails & a relaxed low-key vibe. Had the best oysters I've ever eaten; I'm from
New England & lived in NYC for years & have eaten many, many delicious oysters, so this is saying a lot. My squeeze & I went for pre-dinner drinks between Xmas & New Years & just being there made the day feel like a special occasion. We'll be back!
