Pour la nourriture, c'est bon mais rien d'exceptionnel. Mais pour le service c'est un gros ZÉRO... En arrivant il y a beaucoup de monde mais pas à l'entrée. nous sommes deux on demande une table (pas le comptoir sur le trottoir) le serveur nous dit qu'il n'y en a pas ni a l'intérieur ni a l'extérieur. Pourtant une table de 4 se libère. Je lui fais remarquer il me répond qu'ils la gardent pour des groupes... On prend donc les places au comptoir. Le couple derrière nous se voit assigné la table que j'avais demandé.
Un verre d'eau en arrivant malgré deux demandes de renouvellement, rien . Même chose pour le ketchup.. Mais pour la facture. Là il etait présent avec son large sourire & dit: je vous apporte vos verres d'eau, qu'on n'a jamais eu!

As Close to Perfection as Food Gets

We ate at Bistro 1640 & I'm honestly overwhelmed with how good this was. I struggle to even express it.

We kept asking each other,'how is it this good?'

This is probably in my top 5 meals I've ever had.

The beef was the most tender & complex flavored meat I can remember having.

My wife said the duck was shockingly good. Her face said more than words, but she said it was flavorful perfection.

We've only had poutine twice, but this will set the standard going forward.

Oh- make a reservation!

Superbe endroit. Nous avons réserver le salon pour un anniversaire, qui offrait une superbe ambiance. Le personnel était sympathique & compétent. Nourriture & cocktails très bons. Je recommande vivement

Directly across the park & from Chateau Frontenac 1640 Bistro has a fabulous location. They have a lovely patio & it was a perfect spot to enjoy a drink on a warm spring day. The charcuterie boards look phenomenal & some days there are live musicians that play outside just beside the patio.

Fantastic bistro! Highly recommend for breakfast. It has such a nice & friendly atmosphere & it is perfect for people who are looking for a chill breakfast without the crazy crowds at the overrated La Buche one street over. I recommend getting a dish with the melon salad as it is sooo good! The ham here is delicious too!

Nous sommes passés par hasard & avons décidé d'essayer la planche de fromages & charcuteries pour deux. Au départ, j'étais un peu hésitant en voyant le prix de 45 $, mais quelle surprise ! Ce fut la plus belle planche que j'ai mangée de ma vie.
En plus des fromages & charcuteries, elle comprenait une généreuse sélection de fruits, de noix, de moutarde, de gelée de canneberge, ainsi que des produits d'une qualité exceptionnelle. & que dire des croûtons maison : absolument parfaits !
Si vous prenez cette planche en entrée pour deux, préparez-vous - c'est quasiment trop copieux ! Elle pourrait facilement satisfaire quatre personnes, car c'est pratiquement un repas à elle seule.
