CABU is a friendly place to go for breakfast, just like in the evening, for good food and good drinks.

Whether you're heading out for happy hour before an event in town, or spending the evening enjoying tasty dishes, CABU is a must. Acclaimed Executive Chef Marie-Chantal Lepage, known for her commitment to local produce, presents a constantly evolving menu that lets her expertise and creativity run wild. The culinary experience continues at lunchtime, perfect for a weekday business meal. At the bar, CABU offers a variety of exceptional cocktails made from 100% Quebec spirits. In addition, Thursday evenings are animated by LIVE music, offering customers a festive atmosphere. For birthday celebrations and small groups, the CABU lodge is a semi-private room for up to 30 people.

"CABU" FOR CABOULOT

CABU Boire et manger is named in honor of the "caboulots", small ephemeral shacks erected on the ice of the St. Lawrence River in the 19th century. Before the Quebec Bridge was built, the waters of the river froze, creating a natural bridge. When crossing this ice bridge, locals used to stop off at the little "caboulots" where a merchant would offer edible happiness to help them forget the cold. This transformed the journey into a festive moment.

CHEF MARIE-CHANTAL LEPAGE - BIO

With over 40 years' experience, Marie-Chantal Lepage has worked in Quebec City's finest restaurants alongside the region's top chefs. As an international ambassador for Québec terroir, she has traveled the world. Among her many awards, renowned chef Marie-Chantal Lepage is the only woman to have been named National Chef of the Year by the SCCPQ. She paved the way for many women in the industry. To this day, she remains the only woman in the province to hold the position of executive chef in a major hotel establishment.

Premièrement, nous avons cherché le restaurant ne sachant pas qu'il était situé à l'hôtel Hilton. Ce serait bien de l'indiquer sur le site Web.
Deuxièmement, il n'y a pas d'intimité, nous avions l'impression d'être dans un centre d'achat, puisque nous étions sur le bord de l'allée menant au dépanneur & à la porte tournante de Place Québec. Les gens qui s'assoyait juste à côté de notre table, de l'autre côté de la "clôture " ouverte, dans le hall faisait partie de notre table.

Nous avions réservé pour le buffet de noël. Quoique l'ambiance était géniale, nous sommes déçus du repas servi. Tout était froid, pas tiède mais bien froid! Sauf la soupe qui elle était tiède. Les plats étaient placés dans des réchauds qui ne semblaient pas tenir chaud dutout. C'est dommage car ils avaient bon gout, meme que la dinde etait la meilleure que nous avons mangé mais froide avec la sauce froide c'est très decevant vu le prix payé qui est quand même de 265$ pour 2 personnes sans auxine consommation comprises.

Félicitations au chaleureux personnel du buffet matin & soirée & surtout à un M.Nicolas.Peut-être avertir les invités surtout comme nous les personnes +agées qu'il y a un frais de$11.50 pourboire non inclus pour 2 décaféinés non-compris dans le $ 100 du repas ? que l'on m'a remboursé
,je vous en remercie.Encore gros merci à tout le personnel

Pour notre 17e anniversaire de mariage, nous avons été comblés par l'incroyable table du CABU. L'agneau servi est le meilleur que nous ayons dégusté à ce jour! Le sourire & le professionnalisme de notre serveuse Rachel, dont les attentions nous ont charmés, ont contribué à faire de cette expérience une véritable réussite.
Si ce n'avait été de quelques tables aux convives un peu trop bruyants, l'ambiance aurait été parfaite, mais la période des partys se veut ainsi. Nous recommandons chaleureusement!
