The café had a really unique atmosphere. I got a latte, & it was really good. The staff were also very nice & friendly. The only thing I wish they had was a gluten-free option. Overall, a lovely place to visit!

We've travelled all over Canada & tried A LOT of coffee along the way. As Europeans, we've been seriously missing a really good, properly made coffee, & we finally found it here!
The whole concept of Café Apotek is brilliant. The apothecary theme gives the place character, but it's not over the top or trying too hard. Everything is thoughtfully done, just enough.
The barista was incredibly kind & attentive, both when taking our order & when serving us.
& the coffee! Easily the best I've had in Canada. So many places have great beans, but that doesn't mean much if the coffee isn't made well. Both coffees we had here were absolutely perfect.
The cardamom bun was amazing, & everything else we tried was delicious too.
Honestly, good coffee is a perfectly valid reason to relocate, so I guess we're moving to Quebec City tomorrow. 😂

Colazione piacevole nella parte bassa di Quebec City. Ambiente gradevole con pochi posti a sedere ma attenzione ai dettagli. Pan suisse e chocolatine superbi. Un buon banana bread. Bevande calde molto buone.

Great Way to Start the Day! Coffee & Latte was yummy but the pastries are the start of the show. So good & made with care & professionalism. But as we know quality comes at a cost. We spent over $35 for this picture...

We ordered a matcha latte & a matcha limo, both were delicious! The store could use some signage outside & improving their outdoor look, we almost walked past not realizing the cafe was still open!

The setting of this cafe is super aesthetically pleasing & amazing to enjoy a nice cup of coffee. I believe this place is great at hot drinks & latte art. I did try the iced latte with maple syrup & it was delicious. Not too sweet, & perfect amount of coffee flavor. It had one ice cube & came in a glass cup to dine in. I really enjoyed the jazz/house music they played & how artistic & modern this cafe was with a warehouse/minimalistic vibe. There wasn't even a sign or name of the place, we just walked right in.

This Scandinavian-inspired cafe is a little gem in Quebec City.
I was very happy with my cafes, both the cortado & the chai, which flavour was very rich.
The bread of the danish breakfast was amazing, healthy, not salty & full of seeds. I also appreciated the cassis compote & the egg (perfectly runny inside!) & whipped butter.
My granola - on the first day - was really good & the yoghurt was Greek.
The second day they clearly changed with regular vanilla yoghurt & it made the whole thing very sweet (usually I take it for the proteins of the Greek yoghurt). So I wish this was communicated to me.
The cinnamon swirl was truly too sweet - the sugar coating outside was not needed & the canele was nice but without rum (I think it's fair if they announce it, because if people expect the same from Bordeaux it's not the case).
I was very surprised not to find cardamom buns given the Nordic inspiration of the cafe.
This said, the place is amazing & staff is friendly & trained in latte art (but take your time: mostly they are alone - one person at least for the drinks- so you have to wait). I do recommend it!
