We came for Sunday brunch & ordered the caramel French toast. It was amazing! Being very busy, it was very noisy & hard to hear another person talk. There were a violinist & an accordion player circulating, which added a fun element. The waiters were attentive & courteous.

Perdon for my lack of French skills, but what I lack in language acquisition I most certainly make up in my love of La Bûche restaurant. No where else will you find a more eclectic variety of meats: in pie, in potatoes, & straight off the bone, the meats here cannot be beat. To end this review in invite, nay, IMPLORE you to venture to the basement level bathroom at this locale. I won't spoil the suspense but this bathroom is only topped by one other porcelain throne room, & that one had a self portrayed of the bar owner in a full man thong.

Restaurant is lively & fun. Our server was charming & tolerant of our less than perfect French. The food was solid as were the cocktails. The menu was tricky for my vegetarian daughter but she managed. The washroom is interesting.

We went early & had plenty of room for our large group(though it was starting to get busy as we left). The food was delicious & Mimosas kept coming. The service was great - in our group we had only one French speaker but had no problem conversing in English.

A great start to a fantastic day in Quebec City!

Great food, atmosphere & incredible service. The decor has a cozy vibe & the bathroom is one of the coolest I've ever seen. Thanks for putting up with us not speaking french!

Food was good, ambiance was nice. Very french-canadian. The person who served us was also nice. However, we had to wait for the valet at the entrance, making a unconfortable situation as we were blocking part of the street & other people were upset. Also, the valet left the car running with the keys inside which was not very safe. Still, we had a good experience. Will recommand.

Love this place. My daughter & I went for dinner & decided to go back a day or two later for lunch. Bear in mind this is one busy restaurant & that's not just based on the number of patrons coming & going but also by the wait staff & in the kitchen which is open to one area of the restaurant. The lively French music is always on except for when we enjoyed the two musicians who came in. This place is just happy! The wait staff help to make it so but, the restaurant itself reflects that as well. Check out the bathroom! Aside from that, the food is great as well, & there's no shortage of it on the plate either.
La Buche is casual, unique & a great place for a meal.

Delicious food, friendly & helpful staff - no problem speaking English with us as our French was limited. Would absolutely go back & highly recommend for reasonably priced, excellent food & great portion sizes.
