The food was absolutely fantastic. I had some of the freshest oysters I could ever ask for, followed by the chanterelle carbonara, which honestly looked & tasted like it was made in heaven. The beef tartare with the thin cut fries was superb as well.
For our main course, we had the braised beef, & it was so incredibly tender that you could practically eat it with a spoon.
But what truly made the experience unforgettable was the hospitality. The entire team was so attentive, welcoming, & incredibly patient with my broken French. Everyone was kind, warm, & genuinely hospitable. They showed us what true hospitality really means.
A special shout out to Elisabeth, our server. She was absolutely fantastic. Definitely my favourite.
It was also my birthday, & Elisabeth surprised me with a delicious crème brûlée & a candle, making the experience even more special.
I am already looking forward to coming back.
If you are visiting Rimouski, put La Réserve Bistrô on your list. For me, it is officially my favourite restaurant in Quebec so far.

Une toute première expérience dans ce restaurant ce soir pour l'anniversaire de mon conjoint, & nous sommes ressortis de l'établissement complètement sous le charme ! Des plats parfaitement équilibrés & goûteux, un service attentionné & une belle ambiance. Nous reviendrons assurément quand nous serons de passage à Rimouski. Un coup de foudre culinaire, ça ne s'oublie pas ! ❤?
Ce restaurant est un bijou! C'est maintenant un must à chaque visite à Rimouski. Excellent service, professionnel, courtois & de haut niveau. Les plats incroyables mettent bien en valeur la qualité des produits d'ici avec un savoir-faire hors pair. Je recommande sans hésiter!

Magnifique découverte pour nous, de passage en vacances à Rimouski. Ce bistro offre des plats qui sortent de l'ordinaire, copieux, & savoureux.
La pieuvre était délicieuse, & relevée à souhait. Les calamars étaient succulents, avec la mayo à l'indienne. & que dire du crémeux au chocolat.
One of those cold nights in Rimouski & we had no reservations ... walked into La Reserve & got a seat in the back for three with no wait, although this seemed like luck for us as the place was full.
The walk to my table had me drooling as I passed table after table with beautiful dishes that smelled delicious. The menu, while simple, had really nice options, & soon enough when my plate arrived I was not disappointed. The meal was exquisite. Food, service & atmosphere were all top notch & perfect.
I had the calamari & braised beef that evening & while I usually share my plate with others, it was hard to do on this night as each bite was so delicious.
On my next visit to Rimouski, I will make sure to make reservations as to not miss out on this gem.

Excellent restaurant de produits locaux diversifiés. Menu changeant. Parmi les 3 meilleures tables de Rimouski. Des accords vin/repas très bien proposés. Un incontournable. Le personnel est attentionné, chaleureux, & donne d'excellents conseils pour les accords mets & vins.
Encore une super découverte. Le Bistro La Réserve à Rimouski m'a vraiment impressionné. J'ai goûté aux pâtes fraîches aux chanterelles & asperges avec une sauce aux oursins de Rimouski, puis au boudin maison servi sur pain brioché avec une rémoulade de céleri-rave & de bourgot. Chaque bouchée était parfaitement dosée, équilibrée, pleine de saveurs. Le personnel est attentionné, chaleureux, & donne d'excellents conseils pour les accords mets & vins. Je me suis senti considéré du début à la fin. Le Bas-Saint-Laurent regorge de petits bijoux comme celui-là, portés par des gens passionnés. Si vous êtes de passage dans le coin de Rimouski, c'est une adresse à ne pas manquer.
