Overall an excellent night. Every dish surprised & entertained me, the wine was well matched & the final cocktail perfectly made. We were moved half way through the night away from se boisterous children which was greatly appreciated. Staff highly attentive.
very interesting wine pairings. excellent discussion with sommelier. good discussion with the person in the bar after the meal about single malts. Food was excellent, especially the 2 appetizers

Best meal I have had in Quebec City. Sauces were all delicious. Wine went well with food. Venison perfectly cooked. A few small areas of improvement-Scallops were slightly overcooked, the white quebec white wine could have used an upgrade for the prize we paid. I loved having three desserts courses including the cheese dish. I liked the last lounge area to enjoy your final course & coffee as you pay. In summary overall a wonderful meal with my wife.
Our already-high expectations were definitely surpassed! Every course was intriguing & so very delicious, & the wine pairings were truly inspired. But the quality of service - sharing knowledge with such enthusiasm & courtesy - took the whole experience to another, wonderful level. Thank you to every staff member!
Although we loved the experience, the wine pairings weren't what we expected. The plating was done beautifully, & the taste of each dish was wonderful. The pricing for this experience, in our opinion was very high.
We were on the terrace, hence ambience slightly less than inside.
I can only drink one glass per night. I would have preferred slightly more choice in the wines by the glass.
Really really liked the service, including walking thru the kitchen, the menu, the explanations & the note put on the table for each course. Very good.
The transfer to the bar for cognac & special treats is a really good idea & fun. Makes the evening more special.
You can have great service but if the food isn't great then it falls away, but we really enjoyed the food. It was special food & a special evening. We are admirers of dedicated chefs, such as yours.

Visited Q City with my husband - found this place while staying at the Frontenac, easy walk from the hotel along the scenic old port. Fun introduction to the restaurant upon arrival when we were greeted enthusiastically by the full kitchen staff - ha! Went with the tasting menu & pairings, excellent flavours - wines were exceptionally selected for each course of the meal & service rivalled any of the major restaurants we have visited in our travels both domestically & in Europe. Definitely an upper tier fine dining experience, complete with a final evening send off from a smaller cocktail area where the mixologists came to your table & gave personal & detailed descriptions of the feature drinks & provided complimentary petit fours. Each course was excellent, however my personal favourite was the dill & butter mushroom pasta served before the main. I could have ordered an entire family sized serving of this & binged until I exploded! Interesting selections of table breads & butters to accompany each tasting - which was a fun little element, as each was completely unique! The atmosphere was definitely more formal than other excellent offerings nearby (Le Clan - for example) Would be great for a special dinner, business or pleasure. Would come back again if ever in the area!
What an amazing dining experience at Laurie Raphael. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the hostess & greeted by the culinary team as we glimpsed the kitchen on our way to our table. Our meal began with the finest caviar in the world accompanied by a signature cocktail. We opted to personally choose our four courses with wine pairings selected by the sommelier. Each course outshone the one preceding with delicious halibut ceviche, exotic mushrooms with pasta, beef tenderloin with a caviar stuffed eggplant fritter, & fresh fruit sorbet. We were escorted to the lounge for dessert & after dinner cocktails. C"est magnifique!
