Une expérience culinaire absolument exceptionnelle. Les saveurs sont recherchées, mais dans un grand respect des produits du terroir mis en valeur. Gros coup de coeur pour le service de tortellinis au bison & aux chanterelles ainsi que pour le dessert d'automne. Nous avions pris le menu 6 services, en accord mets & vins Le Clan. Parfait!
Today, my spouse & I had lunch at Le Clan based on our experience at their restaurant during our food tour with HQ Services Touristiques. Merica was our server. I would like to give Le Clan five stars because of the food, but I can only give it four for the following reasons: 1) The food service to our table was very slow - we had long wait times between dishes. This is compared to a table of two who were seated after two of our five dishes were delivered & who were able to complete their meal before we got our dessert. &, a table of three who likewise were seated after two of our dishes were served. In that case, they ordered almost twice the number of plates & were served their dessert before we completed our main meal; 2) One of our dishes was not delivered until we brought it to the attention of our server - who thought we had completed our meal. It was clearly forgotten & was then rushed to our table. 3) A table nearby was disappointed that the dessert they ordered was not available after their main course was finished. A table of three near us ordered a crème brûlée at the start of their meal, but when it was time for the dessert to be delivered, the server told them that the last one had been sold. Although this did not happen to us, it highlights the issue of food service - when the server got the order, she should have reserved the crème brûlée so her customer would not be disappointed. Which clearly she was when she got the bad news. Overall, I give the food 5 stars, the decor 5 stars, & service 3 stars.
Caché dans une petite rue du vieux Québec, ce restaurant vaut le détour ! Nous avons profité de l'offre "tous les plats à 5$", qui rend hommage au Café de la Paix sur l'heure du midi, & vous devriez aussi. Les plats sont fins, dignes d'une cuisine gastronomique & le prix doux allège la note, qui aurait été très salée ailleurs. Les champignons frits, la saucisse cerf/canard, le corégone fumé maison & la rillette de pintade nous ont particulièrement plu. Pareillement, les desserts sont tout autant qualitatifs. Le Clan ressuscite le Café de la Paix avec brio ✨
Dinner here for 3. Amazing bread & desserts! I would say that's top notch among all restaurants I have tried(better than many Michelin starred ones). I ordered a 4 course set while my friend ordered the 6 course set. They are able to replace raw food with kitchen choices & we enjoyed the switch. My favorite is the candid Atlantic char. Portion is good & the quality is great for the price & location. Great service & vibe too.
Ce restaurant est maintenant la plus belle expérience que j'ai eu dans la ville de Québec. Nous avons souvent des repas d'affaires avec les clients. Nous avons été franchement impressionnés par les plats recommandations & attentions des serveurs. Nous avons eu des plats surprenants comme du phoque, homard, crabe des neiges & toutes sortes de sauces super bien agencées avec leur plat. Tous des produits du Québec & il y a de quoi être fier. Les viandes étaient cuites à la perfection. Le pré-dessert & le dessert nous ont pris par surprise. Tellement que nous faisions des blagues sur la probabilité d'un post-dessert. Un serveur passait & nous avait entendu blagué. Ils sont venus nous revoir avec un post-dessert préparé dernière minute. Nos clients étaient énormément impressionnés.

Moreover, even the bathrooms were impressive, providing a level of comfort & luxury that enhanced the overall experience.
It was a very pleasure experience to enjoy the 6 course with wines Le Clan excels in delivering dishes that leave a lasting impression, from the tender deer & melt-in-your-mouth fish to the carefully crafted dessert pairings. The staff were attentive, friendly, & knowledgeable about the menu. Now, let's talk about the food. It was nothing short of amazing! I know a great review isn't very helpful but I really wouldn't have changed a thing. Your staff was professional & friendly from the moment we walked in. I apologize for not remembering their names but our main server - dark hair, glasses - & the sommelier - lighter hair, beard - were great. The selection of wines & his knowledge of them & how they fit with the dishes they were paired with were impressive. Oh - & the server picked up on an unintentional birthday comment & arranged for an extra dessert surprise, which was very appreciated.
We look forward to seeing you next time we visit Quebec & will direct our friends to you as well.
