Yanick Parent's team which owns Bello Ristorante, La Bûche, Don Vegan et Peppe is very happy to team up with Stephane Modat, an amazing chef in Quebec city to create Le Clan.
Enter an exotic place where you seat next to mysterious beasts. Enjoy the sheer, raw pleasure that you will appreciate over and over again.
Le Clan offers a memorable culinary journey through the flavors of Quebec, featuring a menu that highlights fresh, locally sourced ingredients with impressive creativity and precision. Guests frequently praise the exceptional service, noting the professional and attentive staff who contribute to a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. While the tasting menus and wine pairings are often described as a highlight, the lunch service provides an accessible and highly recommended way to experience the restaurant's expertise. Whether enjoying an intimate brunch or a multi-course dinner, diners consistently appreciate the meticulous presentation and the unique, farm-to-table concept that defines the overall experience.
I organized a business group dinner for 9 couples (18 people in total). The evening was FANTASTIC! Incredible food & wine parings. This is one of the best (if not THE best) group meals that I have ever had!!!
Big shout out to Mathew (Maître D) & Laura (Sommelier) as there were both incredible! Very knowledgeable & professional. Food is out of this world. Yes. I would definitely recommend this establishment. You won't be disappointed. Top shelf!
Fabulous meal, beginning to end. Got there early enough for a drink. The bartender was brilliant & engaging. The tasting menu was creative, delicious & beautifully presented. The service was first-rate & attentive. Can not recommend more strongly!
It's an expensive restaurant. If you don't want to spend that much money, go at lunch time. Reservations strongly recommended. The kitchen closes at 2 but as long as you're there by 1:45, they will serve you. That was what happened to us.
For lunch you get soup/salad, an appetizer, & an entree for up to $39 Canadian dollars. You can add a dessert for an additional $5.
The food was great. Strongly recommend the charcuterie board for appetizer. The asparagus risotto was wonderful & the halibut tail was fresh.

We often dine out at home in Ottawa & have the pleasure of having restaurants that earn 5* ratings
The food at The Clan was very nice & we enjoyed it.
The service was interesting, however we never saw the same waiter twice, making it very difficult to establish any kind of relationship with him/her. Impossible to create any kind of feedback.
The waiters thought that by telling us that this entree or that plate originated from some sea or river waters or from some Indian reserve etc was going to impress us, well that sure didn't work.
They would just rattle of a series of words they were taught but barely audible that is really was a waste of time for them as they needed to repeat their text twice
I realized during dinner that the resto was a tapas bar that wanted to be high end because of the jargon used to describe our meal
We were hugely disappointed that there was no English menu for tourists
The Clan was pompous, pretentious & even condescending towards us. Hey let's remember, we are your guest & we are paying the bill.
We don't expect to recommend this to our friends. Hopefully you will read my evaluation & work on your accueil of your future guests
I sent my parents there & they had a fabulous experience. They did the 6 course tasting menu w the wine pairing. They said the service was a 15/10 & the food was perfectly served, & was truly delicious. If you are looking for an experience than I would recommend Le Clan! ❤?
