As I awoke this morning, I had to wonder if the meal we had last night was but a fantastical dream. Thank goodness, it was not! What an absolute treat & one of the greatest food phenomenas we have experienced. Delicate, rich, full flavors with simplicity & artistry are clearly in the forefront of this magical chefs creative mind. Everything moment, from our feet stepping thru the front door to the last out as we admired the immaculate kitchen, was memorable. Our unbelievable wait staff & personal sommelier, Laura-Emily, was knowledgeable beyond compare. But every person was a dream & delight. We brought our 15 yr old son & held our breath hoping he would not have a tough time with the unknown but he dove in head first & felt equally elated after everything. Oh, the wine pairing is a must. The dessert was so beautiful we almost didn't want to eat it. It will be difficult to top LE CLAN so we will eagerly await our return. A chef who loves his country & shares this love through an absolutely culinary masterpiece. Thank you! Thank you!
A fabulous & flavourful dining experience! We spent 3 hours working through all 6 courses & everything we ate was amazing! Staff was attentive & knowledgable about the food & wine. Definitely a night out to remember.

Great prix fixe meal. Nice room with a hunting lodge motif. Service was seamless & the servers changed to keep everything moving. The food & wine pairing were quite nice & we enjoyed ourselves immensely enjoying the surroundings & chatting with the servers.
Spectacular 6-course meal in a beautiful setting. We were absolutely stunned by the quality of the food, the wine pairing & service. Le Clan deserves a Michelin star for delivering a meal we will remember for a long time. We will definitely be back. Thank you chef Modat for the memories.
After a year living in Canada, my husband & I agreed that Le Clan is the best restaurant we' ve been until now.
To find a restaurant with white table cloth, is not an easy task. To be served by people who knows their job, is pretty much appreciated
Le Clan is a place you can have an easy conversation without a noisy sorrounding & with the perfect ambience music.
The food... Oh, dear! Every single plate was very close to perfection if not perfect. Each of them were soft, delicate & with a texture than only a passionate chef, can reach. The wine was delicious & the long trip from Ottawa (in the middle of a winter storm) to have our christmas dinner there, worth it!!!
Many people could think that this is a paid review & this does not matter to me. I want you at Le Clan to know, that you rock.

We had the best meal of our lives last night at Le Clan. EVERYTHING was outstanding, from the decor, to the exemplary service, to the serving ware, to the exquisite 6 course tasting menu of local québécois food, to the world class wine pairings. Wow. If you come to Quebec & like fine food, you must visit.
I ate things I have always been afraid of: head cheese, venison tartare, caviar. There was an amuse buche before the 6 courses, & a pre-dessert before the actual dessert! The pre-dessert was a chocolate filled with sun choke cream & topped with mushroom caramel. OMG. Everything we ate we exclaimed over. Amazing. The waitstaff were so warm & welcoming & knowledgeable. What could have been unbearably pretentious was wonderful.
