Discovered Le Clan on a top restaurant list & loved the focus on local ingredients (where each product comes from). Upon arrival, you immediately get a glimpse of the kitchen which was really cool. The dining area is upstairs, making you feel like you are walking into a private club - like you are part of the clan. We debated between the four & six course preset menu & ultimately went with the six. Glad we made the decision as our two favourites would not have been part of the four. Did not do the wine pairing, opted to pick our own bottle as I don't enjoy very many types of wine. We also started with a couple cocktails (old fashioned & a dirty Martini) & both were very good. Every dish was amazing. Cooked perfectly, well balanced, with a lot of ingredients we had never had before (ie seal & algae). With that said, none were intimidating & all were thoroughly explained by our server. The service from Johnathan & the rest of the staff was top notch - they were very attentive & made us feel comfortable the whole time. We had new utensils for every dish, plates were cleared away, wine glasses filled before new dishes came out etc. Attention to detail was obvious. Would highly recommend Restaurant Le Clan & will try to come back during another visit to Quebec City. PS. Make sure you try out the cool bathrooms.
What an incredible experience! Everyone who works here is passionate about the culinary experience they're delivering. Our server was also the Sommelier, & although we didn't get the wine pairing, I listened in on her storytelling several times; she was lovely. We got the six course tasting & a bottle of wine, & it was a joy. I love the concept of the restaurant, I felt like I learnt more about my country through that experience than a day in a museum & I tried several things I had never had before. I won't share any photos until this review has sufficiently aged, so as not to spoil the surprise! Thank you for the amazing dinner! 10/10 would recommend!
Best fine dining French restaurant we've been to in a while. Must do the pre-fixe. Each course better than last. Service is bar none, everyone is treated like royalty. Wine pairing is spot on.
Dining at Le Clan was an extraordinary experience, topped off by an unexpected delight-the restroom facilities. The six-course meal, even without wine pairings, was memorable for its array of flavors & textures. The menu highlighted Quebec's culinary strengths, featuring exquisitely prepared rabbit & fish dishes that simply dissolved on the tongue. The desserts were artfully paired, showcasing the chef's commitment to quality & creativity. The attentive & thoughtful service from the staff added a personal touch that set this dining experience apart from others, marked by small acts of kindness that were both genuine & heartwarming. Moreover, even the bathrooms were impressive, providing a level of comfort & luxury that enhanced the overall experience.
Wow! We did the 6 course tasting menu & wine pairing. It blew us away. Best meal we had in QC! The chef used to work from Chateau Frontenac, so you know this is going to be fine dining.

Definitely the best restaurant we visited in Quebec. If you want high end dining for a reasonable price Le Clan is an entire experience. Amazing food, incredible attention to detail. We did the 6 course with wine pairing & it was absolutely amazing, the food, the ambiance, the service, all top notch.
We selected the six course tasting with wine pairing on Sunday. Upon entry you are greeted with the hustle & bustle of the kitchen enclosed in glass & escorted the stairs to the main restaurant.
The staff are very attentive & knowledgeable about the menu & wines of the various regions. Everything was excellent & presented in different dishes with a relaxed & unhurried pace.
Truly a lovely experience that I would recommend & will return again.

The food & exceptional wine pairing was spectacular, we enjoyed dining at the chefs table. The service was on point, loved the detailed descriptions of all the food & wines.
