Cuisine excellente ce midi au Café de la Paix by Le Clan. On y a croisé le Chef Stéphane Modat affairé en cuisine. Dommage que le service n'ait pas été au niveau : nos entrées & plats froids ont été servis à la table voisine, si bien que les plats chauds sont arrivés avant. Une erreur peut évidemment arriver, mais on aurait apprécié un petit mot d'excuse pour la gêne. Au lieu de ça, on nous a servi les entrées après le plat, sans rien dire.

We chose this place because of the high rating on Google Maps but felt quite disappointed with the food. One dinner was wasted during our precious 4-day trip (with only 4 dinner options). The ambiance was great, & our server was absolutely passionate. We had our water refilled more than five times, & the washroom was very fancy. However, we didn't like the food. The dishes were definitely pretty & sounded fancy, but a mushroom is a mushroom, & salmon is salmon. When we dine at other fine dining places, we can feel the magical combination of all the ingredients in the entrée & are amazed by the design, presentation, & miraculous taste. But we didn't experience much of that at Le Clan. We had one shared foie gras + the 6-course tasting menu. Unfortunately, none of the dishes made us feel surprisingly good. Given that we spent $140 per person, it wasn't worth the money.

Wonderful evening! We highly recommend the tasting menu with wine pairings! One of us ordered the four course meal, & the other ordered the six course, & the staff was vary gracious in dividing the two extra courses (& wine pairings) so we could both try everything. A highlight of our visit to Quebec!

My husband, sister & I came here as part of a food & wine pairing tour & loved the sampling we got so much that we decided to go for dinner the following day. Stephanie, the manager & sommelier, was able to get us in even though they were short-staffed. She recommended the 6-course dinner to get a small sampling of a variety of dishes. It was absolutely amazing. Each dish was a work of art & a culmination of so many delicious flavors. This was the best dinner & experience we've ever had. Stephanie was amazing, making sure that we were always taken care of & that we were enjoying ourselves & the food. She recommended a local wine which was also delicious with the food. Thank you Stephanie & the entire staff at Le Clan for an unforgettable experience. We all highly recommend this restaurant for an experience that is unlike any other.

Un de nos restaurants favori à Québec. Tout simplement délicieux. Laissez-vous tenter par le menu dégustation (à l'aveugle di vous osez ). L'accord du vin avec le plat est recherché & sublime l'ensemble. Le brunch & la formule midi sont aussi très interessant avec un excellent rapport qualité-prix.
