About

Le Cochon Dingue specializes in hearty comfort food centered on signature pork preparations, including fall-off-the-bone ribs and savory tourtière. The menu highlights Quebecois culinary traditions through generous portions of crispy fries, fresh salads, and decadent maple-infused desserts. Rustic wood interiors and communal table settings define the atmosphere, fostering a lively and unpretentious environment for groups. Patrons frequently select the house-made sauces and artisanal charcuterie platters that anchor the expansive food selection. Efficient service keeps the bustling space moving while maintaining a focus on consistent quality in every served dish. This establishment remains a staple for those seeking substantial, flavor-forward meals prepared with traditional techniques. The dedication to authentic regional ingredients ensures a distinct profile that distinguishes the experience from standard casual dining venues found across the province.

Many visitors highlight the friendly, attentive service and the charming, lively atmosphere, making it a reliable spot for both families and tourists. While the experience is generally positive, some diners noted inconsistencies regarding meal temperatures, occasional long wait times, or a noisy environment due to high volume. Came for breakfast & was seated fairly quickly. Waitress warmly welcomed us & offer us shots of fruits yougurt before taking our coffee orders.

Waitress checked in on us if we need more time to decide our orders & took our orders when we are ready. Coffee was served soon & our food arrive soon. We feedback that one of the brunch item is missing potatoes & one portion of potatoes was given quickly.

Waitress topped up my friend's black coffee rather promptly & check in on us a few times while we were eating.

The service we received was great, food was not bad. The scrambled eggs were not exactly scrambled (white & yolk not completely beaten) & the portion for 2 eggs seems less than average.

Overall the breakfast experience was great, for the items we ate I think they were quite ok. The menu is extensive so I think everyone can find something they want to eat here.

We loved all of our meals. We stopped for lunch & enjoyed the mushroom crepes, avocado toast, & maple crepes. The bowls of lattes were also amazing. A great place to enjoy breakfast, brunch or lunch. We'll have to try them for dinner next time we're in town.

Average, that's the best way to describe. It's the premium fast food chain of breakfast restaurants in my opinion.

Stumbled across this place when walking along Rue du Petit Champlain, & saw the statue of the pig! After seeing the menu, particularly their unique versions of Eggs Benedict, we went here for brunch on the last day of our stay.
It has two entrances : one on Rue due Petit Champlain & main entrance on Rue Dalhousie.

The restaurant has great character & the service was excellent. Upon being seated we were given complimentary tasters size glasses of a fruit smoothie which was a nice touch. The menu has its usual breakfast staples, but also more unique Quebecois-themed options. I got the Eggs Benny with duck confit & goat cheese (picture included) . My wife got the regular Eggs Benny with ham -but rather than the usual slices of ham you get, her dish had a pulled ham that was much tastier.

Solid place for breakfast/brunch place with some more unique options.

It was so amazing & nice time in the restaurant:) We booked online & had a breakfast(bagel&egg benedict) for one day & had a lunch(baby rib&seafood linguni) for the other day:) The best food I've ever had in Canada. Also I was quite impressed by the good service & thank William for your kindness. I would like to drop by here again if any chances to visit Quebec again.

It was such a fun-looking place & always packed - how could we pass up a chance to eat there? Service was phenomenal, the breakfast was next-level delicious, with creative twists on sort-of familiar breakfast items that took our experience to the next level -- & the vibe was fun/chill!!! One of our top three meals during our stay in Quebec City!

Had breakfast. Egg & Ham. Ham was shredded
& dry. Used to come here when visiting Quebec. They had a good reputation but I think they're cutting corners.
