Le Lapin Sauté absolutely lived up to its reputation. Everything we ordered was excellent, from the rich French onion soup & foie gras to the rabbit poutine, rabbit pot pie, & rabbit roulade. Each dish was flavorful, perfectly prepared, & showcased rabbit in a different way.
The atmosphere was warm, inviting, & very intimate-it's a small space that probably can't accommodate more than 20 people. The service was friendly & attentive, & the whole experience felt quintessentially Québécois.
Highly recommended!
This place was highly recommended. It was our first time in Quebec city & we wanted a memorable experience. My husband ordered a beer & we ordered wine to share with his meal. I ordered the rabbit saddle & he the rabbit pie. We were shocked when halfway through his beer, the meal arrived not even 10 minutes later. There were 3 medallions of rabbit. The smallest piece was tough. The others tender. It looked hastily arranged on the plate & the meal was Luke warm. The crust on my husband's pie was chewy & the side salad was nothing special. We were so disappointed. Will never go back. Not my idea of a dining experience in Quebec.
Quaint, low-key, intimate setting for some wonderful Québécois cuisine. We had a great time here. Reservations highly recommended.
One of the best recommendations I received in Quebec City! We didn't have reservation, got on the waiting list, went for a short walk in the area, for less than 30min & got seated in the terrace. Beautiful decor, excellent service & tasty dishes! Had to try their Rabbit Poutine & the small fondue that did not disappoint! Highly recommended!
An absolutely outstanding dining experience at Le Lupin Sauté. From the warm atmosphere to the impeccable service, everything was top-notch.
The rabbit leg was cooked to perfection, incredibly tender, flavourful, & easily one of the best dishes I've had in a long time. The crème brûlée was equally impressive: perfectly balanced, rich, creamy, & absolutely delicious with that satisfying caramelized top.
Every detail of the meal reflected genuine passion & craftsmanship from the kitchen. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Quebec City. Looking forward to coming back again soon!
Spent ample time digging into all of the websites looking for the best French Onion Soup in Quebec City & ... I think I found it. This place est exceptionnel! Overall cool dinner atmosphere nooked away on Rue du Petit Champlain. Bonus if you try their maple dessert wine - something I didn't even know I needed! Nothing but good things to say & would highly recommend.
Never tried rabbit before. It was delicious. The staff were very patient & friendly. The salted honey pie is a must have. I highly recommend this restaurant! Sorry I opened the pot pie before the photo.
Wow. Just wow. My daughter & I started with an appetizer of cheese, fondue each & boy are we glad we didn't share one of those because frankly, we each could've eaten two or three of them. They were so good. I mean really really great. We then split the Rabbit stew with a pastry top. Also delicious & highly recommended. We topped it off with a crème brûlée Since we are fans of that dessert. We had tried four other crème brûlée across old Quebec during the week & this one was by far the absolute best. Overall, a really terrific meal & a really relaxed & intimate atmosphere.
Our lunch was so good we returned the following day for dinner. Very French French, lovely atmosphere made even better by lovely staff. Specialiser on Rabbit & duck, the sharing board with added frois Grois was delightful for lunch & the duck & rabbit cassoulet a real treat on the evening meal. The mid evening times were booked 24 hours before so consider early booking although reckon they keep some for walk ins. Highly recommended.
Very delicious food & friendly staff. It's a small restaurant so I'd highly recommend making a reservation beforehand! Absolutely loved it
