Founded in 1978 by Jacques Fortier and Jean-Luc Boulay, Le Saint-Amour has become an iconic institution in Quebec City, embodying the influence of Quebec gastronomy. Offering haute French cuisine inspired by exceptional regional products, renowned chef Jean-Luc Boulay and his team combine traditional know-how and modern techniques to pay tribute to local producers and offer a gourmet, refined and unique gastronomic experience.

Le Saint-Amour is ranked among the top 10 favourite fine dining restaurants in Canada by travellers, according to TripAdvisor (2014, 2015, 2016 and 2020 Travellers' Choice Awards). Our wine cellar , housing over 15,000 carefully selected bottles, is also among the top 10 wine selections in Canada, with prestigious vintages from all over the world. Over the years, we have had the honour of welcoming renowned celebrities, such as Sir Paul McCartney, Sting, Alicia Keys, Johnny Hallyday, Charles Aznavour, and many others, who have chosen Le Saint-Amour during their stay in Quebec City.

Le Saint-Amour was awarded 4 stars by the prestigious Debeur Guide and was crowned Restaurant of the Year in 2011. This recognition is in addition to the many distinctions received by Chef Jean-Luc Boulay : Chevalier de l'Ordre national du Québec in 2024, the highest honorary distinction awarded by the Quebec government, Maître Cuisinier de France, Officier de l'Ordre du Mérite Agricole de France medal, Governor General of Canada's Award for the Arts of the Table, as well as the Prix Hommage Renaud-Cyr. Also recognized for his dedication to passing on his knowledge, Chef Boulay shares his passion with new generations, notably as a permanent judge on the show Les Chefs! , broadcast on Radio-Canada since 2010 and with 13 seasons to date.

Excellent repas, bon service à part le service du vin, nous avons du nous servir 2 fois. A ce prix le service du vin devrait être impeccable. Aussi en passant devant la cuisine certains n avaient pas de masque & un cuisinier avec une barbe pas de filet sur celle ci. M Boulay n'aurait pas apprécié connaissant sa critique assez sévère à l émission les Chefs. Le St Amour reste cependant dans le top 5 des restos gastronomiques à Québec.

Pardon the language, but literally every bite is like an orgasm in your mouth.
Incredible, every single dish I've had (2nd time here). Its haute cuisine at its finest. Worth every penny, unbelievable presentation, flavor blends, quantity perfect, everything is just, perfect! Congrats to the chef, wow.

La renommée du chef Boulay & son restaurant n'est plus à faire, mais l'accord Vin avec plats, comment dire, beaucoup de vin pour peu de nourriture! Sans parler du prix qui est un peu exagéré. Le resto chez Boulay est beaucoup mieux en guise de proportions & prix. Merci

Franchement rien a dire. Service impeccable. Les serveurs très souriant, courtois malgré que nous soyons arrivées tard. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis & très bien servis. Pour les plats franchement chapeau au Chef c'est succulent. Le cadre est très beau. Les prix sont un peu élevés par contre mais ça en vaut vraiment le coup.

L'art culinaire à son meilleur. Peu importe ce que l'on commande, il faut prendre une bonne minute pour contempler la beauté de l'assiette servi devant soi.

On ne mange pas. On déguste, on savoure, on jouit ! Le Chef maitrise parfaitement bien son art & a certainement appris d'un ange pour offrir un tout semblable.

Ca été une soirée parfaite à tout point de vue. Évidemment, on ne regarde pas le prix à payer pour cette qualité raffinée, ce savoir-faire culinaire, cette ambiance envoutante, le décor plus que charmant & un service supérieur.
