Founded in 1978 by Jacques Fortier and Jean-Luc Boulay, Le Saint-Amour has become an iconic institution in Quebec City, embodying the influence of Quebec gastronomy. Offering haute French cuisine inspired by exceptional regional products, renowned chef Jean-Luc Boulay and his team combine traditional know-how and modern techniques to pay tribute to local producers and offer a gourmet, refined and unique gastronomic experience.

Le Saint-Amour is ranked among the top 10 favourite fine dining restaurants in Canada by travellers, according to TripAdvisor (2014, 2015, 2016 and 2020 Travellers' Choice Awards). Our wine cellar , housing over 15,000 carefully selected bottles, is also among the top 10 wine selections in Canada, with prestigious vintages from all over the world. Over the years, we have had the honour of welcoming renowned celebrities, such as Sir Paul McCartney, Sting, Alicia Keys, Johnny Hallyday, Charles Aznavour, and many others, who have chosen Le Saint-Amour during their stay in Quebec City.

Le Saint-Amour was awarded 4 stars by the prestigious Debeur Guide and was crowned Restaurant of the Year in 2011. This recognition is in addition to the many distinctions received by Chef Jean-Luc Boulay : Chevalier de l'Ordre national du Québec in 2024, the highest honorary distinction awarded by the Quebec government, Maître Cuisinier de France, Officier de l'Ordre du Mérite Agricole de France medal, Governor General of Canada's Award for the Arts of the Table, as well as the Prix Hommage Renaud-Cyr. Also recognized for his dedication to passing on his knowledge, Chef Boulay shares his passion with new generations, notably as a permanent judge on the show Les Chefs! , broadcast on Radio-Canada since 2010 and with 13 seasons to date.

Je n'ai pas eu l'effet WoW pour ce type de restaurant. En prenant le menu découverte je m'attendais à découvrir de nouvelles saveurs.
Le service était lent au début & par la suite, trop vite comme pour annoncer la fermeture.

C'était notre 3e visite au Saint-Amour. Côté décor, c'est un petit paradis. Les plats sont bien présentés, un chef-d'oeuvre pour les yeux. Toutefois le goût est subtil, on pourrait facilement accepter que les saveurs soient plus développées.
Les serveurs sont courtois & efficaces; le sommelier pour sa part s'est présenté avec une pointe d'arrogance.
Je note également que le premier verre de vin de notre bouteille nous a été servi, quant aux suivants il a fallu s'en occuper nous-mêmes. Ce n'est pas une lourde tâche, mais cela nous a quand même surpris.

Nous avons été enchantés & ravis de notre passage, tout comme il y a deux ans. Un bonheur! L'accueil est cordial & chaleureux. Le repas divin, une explosion de saveurs pour les papilles. Le vin sublime. Le service & le personnel attentionné & très à l'écoute du client.
Merci de nous offrir une expérience gastronomique d'une grande qualité, dans un cadre somptueusement décoré, de style »art nouveau »,

J,Y suis allé avec ma soeur, & nous sommes d,accord sur 10 notre note serait de 12/10. Service impeccable. Tout était fabuleux, plein de saveur en bouche. Nous avons pris le menu découverte & notre serveur l,a fait ajuster par le chef en fonction de nos demandes. Un restaurant d,exception.
