The food was delicious, well worth the price. I wasn't a huge fan of the 2/6 non-alcoholic pairings as they were savoury, but the other 4 were perfect.

What a treat this was! We did the omnivore tasting menu with the “oryginal” wine pairing. Most of the dishes were some of the best I’ve had ever at a restaurant. The eggplant tacos, halibut, & duck were favorites. Pumpkin cake with raspberries & cream was delectable!! We loved the introduction to wines from the region. The herbal mint/parsnip tea was a surprising welcome at the end of the meal. Veal crudo was a bit of a miss for us but that could be a matter of personal preference. The staff worked together to serve & they were polite & informative, but they seemed as if they had been there for a while & just seemed tired. Lovely, lovely outdoor patio set in this ancient Old Quebec building. So idyllic. From where we sat, we got a glimpse of the St Lawrence river but there were other tables that had a more direct view. I can’t wait to return when we make another trip here soon!! Until then, Thank you for a wonderful evening!

My wife & I celebrated her birthday at l'orygin. We started with a glass of sparkling wine, & the ordered the vegan discovery menu accompanied by the local wine pairings. The entire experience was spectacular. The restaurant space afforded quiet conversation in a lovely setting. The staff was very pleasant & friendly. The presentation was beautiful. Each course was unique & delicious. The wine pairings provided the perfect complement. We recommend l'orygin to anyone looking for an elegant vegan dining experience.

After just having eaten at the Clan the day before, I just wasn't as impressed with the food quality at this restaurant. The food was good but not at the level that a $100 plus bill would warrant. The food was a bit too eclectic & the spices not as vivid as they should be for things like a samosa type of appetizer & a few of the others which were asian influenced. The non-alcoholic pairings were a nice touch though & the waiting staff was attentive. I did however prefer the dessert here with is various flavorings.

Can't recommend Bistro L'Orygine highly enough. We enjoyed a very special meal - every course was unique, fresh, & exquisite. The wine pairings were outstanding. The team was welcoming & provided outstanding service. Thanks to Gabriel who took care of us. If you go to one special meal in Quebec, this is it.

Excellent restaurant. The right setting for the final dinner in Quebec City. Food is worth a Michelin star. Great selection of local wines. One course got mixed up with a different table but the service handled the situation really well & my wine pairing was upgraded.
