Exceptional. We have tried top-tier tasting menus from around the world & this was one of our favourites. They were meticulous in accommodating to dietary restrictions (no peanuts in house!) & to pregnancy restrictions (made swaps for raw seafood/meats to other delicious options & never once made this feel like an inconvenience). Every single staff member we encountered was so warm & you could tell they genuinely enjoyed being there & sharing the menu with guests. I did the non-alc pairing to the tasting menu - highly recommend! 10/10 food, drink & experience.

Delicious but heavy food. Service level is very high. I suggest the tasting menu as the à la carte is very heavy. Would return.

Can't say enough about our honeymoon tasting menu experience at l'Orygine, which was recommended to me by my private club's general manager.

The experience surpassed all expectations, both on the menu & wine pairings; the maitre d' was world-class, & we had the opportunity to sample unbelievable Quebec ingredients we simply do not have access to in Toronto.

Bravo to all involved - an unforgettable experience.

This was my second visit to Bistro l'Orygine. The first time, during a different season, the cuisine was truly surprising & memorable.

On this occasion, however, I didn't experience the same'wow' factor when tasting the dishes. The Discovery Menu remains my favorite choice, & I had hoped to be just as impressed as I was during my first visit. While everything was well executed, the element of surprise that once made the experience exceptional felt less present this time.

Highly recommend for something special. A lovely night, amazing service (thanks Sam!) & absolutely delicious food. Looking forward to the next time! FYI: It is a blind tasting menu, if you go that route, so picky grumpy people beware!

Food was good, but lacking a magic touch. Oyster weren't worth it. We took the tasting menu, & though ingredients were fresh, locally sourced & presentation & texture were flawless, taste was lacking.

Tasting menu items were original & tasty. They have a non-alcohol beverage pairing to accompany the tasting menu & the drinks were exceptional.

Amazing experience trying local Quebec food. The tasting menu is superb but the alcohol-free mocktail addition is PHENOMENAL. The creativity is out of this world. Great option for trying something new & supporting local.

One of the best restaurant experiences I've had in the Province of Quebec or anywhere. The staff was knowledgeable, pleasant, prompt, & professional. Known for its tasting menu & wine pairings, it was a real experience with unique combinations of tastes & food items served in a unique environment both indoor & outdoor. We were unexpectedly & delightfully treated to two glasses of red wine when there was a slight delay between two courses, a delay we had not even noticed. The mark of well trained, customer focused staff. I will definitely go back!

I loved the 6 course vegan tasting menu! I appreciated the use of seasonal ingredients & the use of textures throughout the dishes. The service was exceptional, & the space feels elegant & cozy. I'm glad this exists within Quebec City! Will definitely return!!
