Bistro L'Orygine delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences we've ever had. We visited in February & enjoyed the prix fixe menu with the non-alcoholic drink pairing, & every single course was truly out of this world.
The care they took with our dietary restrictions & food allergies was exceptional. Nothing felt like an afterthought-each dish was thoughtfully adapted, beautifully executed, & every bit as exciting as the original menu. It created a sense of ease & trust that allowed us to fully relax & enjoy the experience.
The service was equally outstanding. The servers were warm, knowledgeable, & attentive without being intrusive. Each dish & drink was introduced with clear, engaging descriptions that added depth & context to the meal, making the experience feel immersive & intentional from start to finish.
Bistro L'Orygine isn't just a great restaurant-it's a destination. I would happily return to Québec City just to have another meal here, & I can't recommend it highly enough

Cuisine délicieuse avec pleins de saveurs. Les serveurs étaient très à l'écoute, accueillants & chaleureux. Les cocktails sans alcool qui accompagnent le menu découverte étaient excellents & très savoureux.
Nous avons adoré notre expérience chez L'Orygine. Je recommande vivement ce restaurant !!!

Farm to table style. Food is impeccably presented & the service is outstanding. Great ambience, delicious food & an extensive wine list. Dishes are customisable accordimg to dietary preferences. Highly recommended.

L'Orygine is without doubt one of my top 3 favourite culinary experiences of all time. The service provided by their team (both occasions I've visited - 8 months apart) were warm, professional & passionate. As someone, who delights in craftmanship of chefs & mixologists - to have each dish presented with such kindness, pride & enthusiasm is 100% 5-star treatment.
The food itself. On another planet! Chef Sabrina is an genius/artist - to create perfectly balanced dishes using the ingredients & methods she chose is nothing short of incredible. I could not get enough! Not a single dish passed without me mourning that the experience was over - because each dish was THAT GOOD. Everything was portioned, & cooked to perfection. I was literally smiling while I took each bite.
& how could such food be enjoyed without equally divine pairings? We will never have to know! Because L'Orygine delivered! My husband did an alcoholic pairing & I did a mocktail pairing to get the most variety & assess how in sync this restaurant truly is. Conclusion is they are a vibe! Every. Single. Drink. Was. Art. We were both blown away.
I can't even begin to fathom how Gabriel; their mixologist creates such visually stunning & equally delicious drinks. Each drink to enhanced the tasting experience; not distracting or diminishing the beauty of each unique dishes' flavours - flawless execution.
Easily my favourite mocktail pairing I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. & I've had some solid pairings.
The entirety of L'Orygine was perfection & I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an accessible experience in the ultra stunning Québec City. I know for a fact my husband & I will be visiting L'Orygine again during our next trip to QC, & I'll be recommending it to anyone & everyone who will listen to me.
If you go for a date night, birthday, anniversary, promotion, work function, literally solo & by yourself ENJOY IT! I'm pretty sure that's the only option experience they serve.
Marvellous, Splendid, & Stupendous. No words come close to describe the taste of this restaurant, which completely blew our minds away. We all are vegetarian & there is a one in 500 chance to find a restaurant that's rated so good & focuses on vegetarian. Our kids don't like vegetables but they ate squash, mushroom, & peppers & they loved every bit. We are staying for 4 days & we know which meal will be our last one. Definitely recommend mushroom & morel risotto & grilled peach salad. The desserts had all textures, with thin strawberry wafer paper, crunchy tarts, & strawberry gel with ice cream. Our helper was Sam & he was phenomenal he recommend great options & told us about the food. You know it's really hard to find a place with vegan options that taste like veg. DEFINETLY RECOMMEND!:)
Cuisine spectaculaire, les mariages de goûts sont fabuleux, l'agencement des textures & des couleurs est parfait, & c'est tellement frais! Wow! le service est passionné & attentionné, je recommande x1000! & si vous allez au brunch, le mimosa poire est sublime.
A zillion stars! This sits as one of the top three dining experiences of all-time - not just because of the unforgettable food, but also the passionate, friendly, engaging service. They went absolutely above & beyond, not only accommodating my gluten free preference & severe garlic & onion allergy, but using the opportunity to get really creative & offer dish after dish of amazing surprises. We ordered the 6 course Menu Découverte with wine pairing, & the care & intention that went into every course was felt & so delightful.
A huge thanks to Chef & team for your unmatched hospitality. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fabulous local food experience, & certainly for foodies with dietary accommodations. You won't be disappointed!
