Superb experience. I rarely give 5 stars but I'm making an exception. Gabriel was our server & bar tender. He is a true professional & made everything interesting. The arctic char was perfect & the fowl dish was wonderful. I highly recommend if ever in Quebec City.
Devine! Excellent!! I can’t explain how amazing the food is, a real experience. You eat art!! The staff is very knowledgeable, polite, kind & friendly. Overall, one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in my life. My boyfriend & I had a great time. Yes I definitely recommend it.

Nous sommes français, de passage à Québec, & nous sommes allés dîner en couple au restaurant L'Orygine.
Nous avons pris chacun un menu découverte, avec accord « vins » pour monsieur & « sans alcool » pour madame.
Ce restaurant est tout simplement génial, la cuisine est juste délicieuse, les accords, que ça soit vins ou sans alcool sont parfaits, & s'accordent parfaitement avec les plats (j'ai adoré les différents mocktails, je ne m'attendais pas à apprécier autant les associations).
Nous regardions, fascinés, le barman préparer les différents cocktails/mocktails, un vrai spectacle.
Une belle équipe, autant professionnelle que sympa.
Nous recommandons vivement cette adresse.
Dommage que nous habitions à 8000kms...

My wife & I had identified this restaurant as one we would like to visit on our trip through Canada & North East USA.
We arrived in town & made our way to the old quarter but the restaurant only opens at 5pm. So we did our sightseeing which included a 15 mile round trip bike ride. We called in on our way back to the hotel to see if we could get at table later, after we’d had a chance to change. The maitre d told us we could even eat now, despite our attire. So we figured why not?
The evening was a great experience. The staff were really excellent. I tried a little French & they were polite & friendly. We decided on the 6 course sampler, with an emphasis on vegetarian but with some fish.
What followed was a taste bud bonanza. Each plate was both beautifully presented & explained by the server, paired wonderfully with our drinks & in fact ended up being 7 courses as they chef had tried out a new dish! The servers, the manager all came over to check with us, recommend drinks etc.
I had a local cider, my wife a couple of local beers. Neither of us do well with wine!
The menu was thoughtful, the service was outstanding the ambience was a laid back chic vibe.
If I could give this place more stars then I would.
Best meal during our visit to Quebec. Stellar service. Top notch start to finish. We had the filet beef for two & the mozzarella zucchini app. Highly recommend.
