My wife & I celebrated her birthday at l'orygin. We started with a glass of sparkling wine, & the ordered the vegan discovery menu accompanied by the local wine pairings. The entire experience was spectacular. The restaurant space afforded quiet conversation in a lovely setting. The staff was very pleasant & friendly. The presentation was beautiful. Each course was unique & delicious. The wine pairings provided the perfect complement. We recommend l'orygin to anyone looking for an elegant vegan dining experience.

We spent a wonderful evening at Bistro L'Orygine. The menu was innovative, the food was delicious, the service was excellent, & the ambience was fabulous! Highly recommend--especially if you're looking to enjoy an extra-special evening!

We had the 6 courses surprise menu. It was excellent & thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was excellent & the setting very nice! Will certainly recommend this restaurant!

If you have a taste for great food, this is the place to go! For the full experience, I strongly recommend the discovery menu. They have omnivore or vegan options. I had the vegan & every service was absolutely amazing!

What a wonderful dining experience! We elected to do the six course dining experience. They have vegan options for each course. My wife & I both agree it was among the top meals, vegan or not, that we have ever had. Highly recommend Bistro L'Orygine.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our neighbors who visited QC a few years back (BC...before Covid) & raved about the service, the food, & overall ambiance. Since this was our last night at Le Chateau Frontenac (& my wife's birthday), I made a reservation (close to a year ago) to celebrate her special day. We took the funicular down to the lower part of QC & strolled to Bistro L'Orygine. We were greeted at the reception desk by the owner himself &, since it was quite hot, we opted for an inside table. He told us a bit about the history of the restaurant & made us feel at home.

We started out with a glass of champagne for my wife & I went with an expertly prepared dry Ketel One Martini (up with a twist). We then ordered a dozen grilled oysters (with their own Rockefeller style flair)...simply divine, For the main course, my wife went with their lobster/cavatelli dish & I ordered the duck breast / kimchi plate. Both dishes were out of this world. The owner, bartender, & waitstaff made for a most memorable dining experience which ended our stay in beautiful Quebec City on a very high note. Merci Beaucoup!
