What a wonderful dining experience! We elected to do the six course dining experience. They have vegan options for each course. My wife & I both agree it was among the top meals, vegan or not, that we have ever had. Highly recommend Bistro L'Orygine.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our neighbors who visited QC a few years back (BC...before Covid) & raved about the service, the food, & overall ambiance. Since this was our last night at Le Chateau Frontenac (& my wife's birthday), I made a reservation (close to a year ago) to celebrate her special day. We took the funicular down to the lower part of QC & strolled to Bistro L'Orygine. We were greeted at the reception desk by the owner himself &, since it was quite hot, we opted for an inside table. He told us a bit about the history of the restaurant & made us feel at home.

We started out with a glass of champagne for my wife & I went with an expertly prepared dry Ketel One Martini (up with a twist). We then ordered a dozen grilled oysters (with their own Rockefeller style flair)...simply divine, For the main course, my wife went with their lobster/cavatelli dish & I ordered the duck breast / kimchi plate. Both dishes were out of this world. The owner, bartender, & waitstaff made for a most memorable dining experience which ended our stay in beautiful Quebec City on a very high note. Merci Beaucoup!

While the staff was friendly & accommodating & the overall ambiance was comfortable, the portions were too small & the food itself was bland & at times shockingly flavorless. We appreciated the opportunity to customize our dining experience with modifications, but we would not recommend this as a dining option.

Can't recommend Bistro L'Orygine highly enough. We enjoyed a very special meal - every course was unique, fresh, & exquisite. The wine pairings were outstanding. The team was welcoming & provided outstanding service. Thanks to Gabriel who took care of us. If you go to one special meal in Quebec, this is it.

Une soirée encore une fois exceptionnelle! De l'accueil au départ, excellent sur toute la ligne. Des serveurs & serveuses souriants & sympatiques, des plats absolument originaux & uniques. Nous sommes des clients depuis plus de 30 ans. Je vous recommande fortement.
