Had the 6 course discovery meal. The food was incredible, & decent portion sizes compared to other tastings we have done elsewhere. Atmosphere & wine were great. Service was good for the most part but dessert took a little while as the place really filled up by the time we were ready to leave. Dessert was the least impressive dish. Would recommend.

My wife & I celebrated her birthday at l'orygin. We started with a glass of sparkling wine, & the ordered the vegan discovery menu accompanied by the local wine pairings. The entire experience was spectacular. The restaurant space afforded quiet conversation in a lovely setting. The staff was very pleasant & friendly. The presentation was beautiful. Each course was unique & delicious. The wine pairings provided the perfect complement. We recommend l'orygin to anyone looking for an elegant vegan dining experience.

I had high hopes & was greatly disappointed. The waitstaff was overwhelmed but nice when at the table. I ordered the halibut & substituted mushrooms. I ended up with an oyster mushroom that was two small bites in tomatoes sauce. That's it. For 35$. I was starving. We ordered a bottle of wine that showed up when we weee finished eating so sent it back. In part because dinner was eaten in 60 seconds given the portion. Beautiful space so I hope they figure it out.

Beautiful courtyard. Friendly, knowledgeable bilingual staff. Extensive wine list. Delicious food. Oysters with cucumber foam. Duck, halibut, apple eclair.

Can't recommend Bistro L'Orygine highly enough. We enjoyed a very special meal - every course was unique, fresh, & exquisite. The wine pairings were outstanding. The team was welcoming & provided outstanding service. Thanks to Gabriel who took care of us. If you go to one special meal in Quebec, this is it.

Special cod dish was wonderful. Sweet after dinner item, cookie & some form of pastry was a failure & the cheese & duck appetizer missed the mark. Good wine selection & environment.
