Everything was perfect at L'Orygine, from the initial check-in to the ultimate take-home cookie. We chose the chef's tasting five course menu with wine pairings. Each course was beautifully arranged, tastefully cooked, & delicious, from one to the next, including the amuse-bouche to begin. All of the waiters were helpful & friendly, describing in detail each elaborate course. Our primary waiter did an excellent job explaining each wine selected to accompany the course. All of the ingredients are fresh & full of flavor. The restaurant indoors & on the terrace is beautiful in every detail. We could not have been more pleased. Thank you!

Fabulous! Such imaginative & creative cuisine! I chose the tasting menu with the local wine pairings. All of the dishes were beautifully presented, & had amazing combinations of flavors & textures, making each a voyage of discovery. The wines, too, were nuanced, & a refreshing change from the usually French-dominated fare. Very attentive & friendly service, & a delightful ambiance. Highest marks!

The service is exceptional, the decor & food are beautiful. Unfortunately, however, the food is bland. I did not not enjoy the discovery menu, the wine selection, or the cocktails. The Blue Note cocktail tastes like cough syrup. The apple cocktail was bland. The wine by the glass menu was limited. I had to request salt with every plate. Very sad to have spend $150 on food & drinks that I did not enjoy on one of only three nights in Quebec City.

This restaurant transcends having a meal into an experience. The tasting menu (we had both Vegan & Omnivore) was divine & the wine pairing was simply perfect. How they manage to pair wines for both vegan & ominvore simultaneously was remarkable. The plating was sublime, but the pièce de résistance was the service. The staff were kind & attentive & we truly felt that they cared about our experience. It was a perfect dining event in a delightful setting.

Once again, this place delivers an evening to remember! fin staff, knowledgeable servers & great sommelier. Interesting delicious plates & nice wine pairing. Absolutely beautiful decor & confortable seating (we were at the bar). I just love this little gem.
