Simply put, one of the best dinners we've had in a long time. Both the vegan & the omnivore pre fixed meals were amazing from start to end. Truly great experience
I enjoyed my 5-course tasting so much on the previous evening, I decided to return to l'Orygine for a second night. I was not disappointed!
I started with a glass of champagne & 6 oysters, which I gather were from New Brunswick. The oysters were topped with a rhubarb foam & pearls of kombucha, plus a fresh leaf of I forget which herb -- I must say, a far more interesting than a classic mignonette!
I then opted for the vegan charcuterie. So many things were happening on that plate, & all of them a revelation! I particularly remember the smoked beet & caraway sausage! Again, the blend & contrast of flavors, colors, & textures was intense, yet everything complemented & enhanced everything else.
For dessert, I had the clafoutis, which was very good (if not a knockout) -- for my taste, the custard part was a little bit overcooked. But marvelous flavors, & beautiful presentation, nevertheless.
Once again, the extraordinary & exemplary service, & the warmth & good humor of all persons concerned, made this meal & evening a very special one I'll always remember.

J'ai invité ma mère pour son anniversaire & nous avons passé une soirée mémorable! Tout était parfait : l'ambiance chaleureuse de la terrasse, le délicieux menu découverte & le service impeccable! Un coup de coeur pour ce resto!
Décor idyllique, le personnel sympathique & attentionné &, surtout, très efficace. Quant à la nourriture, c'était parfait du début à la fin. On va devoir réessayer le menu été pour un deuxième avis!!! Félicitations pour votre beau travail.
Everything was perfect at L'Orygine, from the initial check-in to the ultimate take-home cookie. We chose the chef's tasting five course menu with wine pairings. Each course was beautifully arranged, tastefully cooked, & delicious, from one to the next, including the amuse-bouche to begin. All of the waiters were helpful & friendly, describing in detail each elaborate course. Our primary waiter did an excellent job explaining each wine selected to accompany the course. All of the ingredients are fresh & full of flavor. The restaurant indoors & on the terrace is beautiful in every detail. We could not have been more pleased. Thank you!
