Could only get a reservation at the bar for our desired time. We had wonderful service at the bar from Alexis. She was professional, pleasant & took very good care of us. Her food recommendations were spot on. I had the seafood linguine with tomato sauce & it was delicious. My husband had the carbonara with the egg yokes & it was so rich & yummy. We closed with the wonderful crème brûlée. The atmosphere was warm & inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant for a great Italian meal!

We had a lovely experience at the restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious.

We especially appreciated how attentive & helpful our server Samuel was. We didn't speak French, & he patiently explained everything to us. When we were feeling cold, he kindly brought us a blanket. He also recommended a lovely Italian wine, which was especially helpful. He also took the time to explain all the vegetarian options for my cousin & what he could enjoy.

The food, service, & hospitality made our visit truly special. We would definitely come back!

True italian taste. Reasonable prices. The pastas were amazingly cooked with great ingredients. We had a really cool experience here. We didn't have reservation but the maître d' made it happen. Thank you!!! Definitely coming back.

Started off the evening with very mediocre service, & it only went downhill from there. This was honestly one of the worst Italian meals we've ever had-the food was below par & practically inedible. I didn't know anyone could mess up simple penne all'arrabbiata & minestrone soup, but the pasta was far from al dente & completely flavorless. We ended up having to return our food. I very rarely leave negative reviews, but this place called for it.

We had an amazing dinner here! We ordered pizza, pasta, calamari, & the burrata, & every single dish was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully prepared. The atmosphere was warm & welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. A special thank you to our server, who was incredibly kind & friendly. He even surprised us with complimentary limoncello at the end of our meal, which was such a thoughtful gesture. It made our evening even more memorable. We will definitely come back & highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Italian food & excellent service! One of the best dining experiences we've had in Quebec City. Thank you for such a wonderful evening!

Lively restaurant serving genuine Italian dishes within the Hotel 71.
We were seated at the bar & loved the action & the drinks.
The food was great (we had calamari, bruschette & wonderful scaloppine) & it came fast despite the place being packed. Great staff made us feel very welcome. Book in advance!

There were 5 of us so we decided to order a lot of different plates & do family style. To start we got the Carpaccio Di Manzo, Bruschetta Di Pomodoro, & Insalata Di Rucola E Prosciutto Di Parma.

Second round was their signature Pappardelle al Funghi, Agnellotti, Scaloppina Di Vitello (Limone), & the Joue De Boeuf Braisée. The pappardelle was amazing & had plenty of mushrooms mixed in. The beef cheek was fork tender & melted in your mouth, paired with a dark au jou that was so flavorful. The agnelotti was tossed in a basil cream sauce that made your palate dance. The lemon veal was one of my favorite dishes of the night, covered in a creamy lemon pepper sauce.

For dessert we had the Bombas which were two fried donuts drizzled in a hot nutella sauce. We also had the Tiramisu & Tartufo, an Italian chocolate ice cream.

From start to end, the food & service was phenomenal. Thank you Matto for an evening I won't soon forget!

The first place for the best Italian pasta in town! Enjoyed the Christmas Eve dinner at this authentic Italian restaurant chain in Quebec City. The pastas were amazingly delicious & the steak was perfectly cooked to accurate perfection & tasted better than anything else one can find anywhere else.
The atmosphere was fantastic & very refreshing welcoming experience. The service was also very pleasant & really enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for an evening dinner , just make sure you have a reservation done before heading as it is very popular & busy.
