Food is excellent. Beware though the pizza is quite large, definitely larger than one person's portion. Took an hour for the main to come, but worth the wait.

Malgré l'heure tardive, le service a été rapide, efficace & surtout très chaleureux. Le personnel était vraiment sympathique & attentionné, & les plats étaient excellents. Sat outside in the pedestrian walkway yet cars also used the road. Funny. Spaghetti Bolognese was excellent as was the salmon. Manhattan made to perfection. Arrived early for our 6 pm reservation. The service was very slow, but I guess that makes for a leisurely dinner, right?
Had a mixed experience here. We had a 6pm reservation & didn't end up getting our mains until almost 7:45, which felt long.
Our appetizers were delicious. We had the calamari & the suppli & enjoyed both a lot.
The mains didn't go as well. I had the carbonara & this was this first time I've ever had carbonara with onions in it, I would not recommend it. Not a good addition to what is usually such a simple dish. My wife had the mushroom pasta & also felt the onions in the meal were overdone.
All in all not a fantastic experience. Overall more like a 2.5 than a 3.
We very much enjoyed our time at Matto. Cheers to the staff, especially Thomas & the nice receptionist who accomodated our needs & went the extra mile to make our night special.
Fantastic place for dinner.
We were lucky to catch their lobster season. Had their lobster pasta. Fresh pasta in a rose sauce with real chunks of lobster. Sat on their patio in the picturesque alley.
Service was also really personable & knowledgeable.
We had an amazing dinner here! We ordered pizza, pasta, calamari, & the burrata, & every single dish was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully prepared. The atmosphere was warm & welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. A special thank you to our server, who was incredibly kind & friendly. He even surprised us with complimentary limoncello at the end of our meal, which was such a thoughtful gesture. It made our evening even more memorable. We will definitely come back & highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Italian food & excellent service! One of the best dining experiences we've had in Quebec City. Thank you for such a wonderful evening!
