An amazing culinary experience at Verre Pickl'!

The husband & wife duo, Alexandra & Jerome, were incredibly welcoming & accommodating. They reached out to ensure that we were able to enjoy our meal due to some food precautions & provided us with some alternative options.

Jerome was at the front of house making & serving drinks, explaining each course, & ensuring everything was going well. He shared the inspiration behind each dish which gave them a personal touch & included where they sourced their ingredients (local of course!).

The entire evening was about 3-3.5 hours long & each course was spread out to give you time to digest before the next.

If you're in town visiting, I highly recommend trying to get a reservation or book early enough to secure your seat at the table.

Verre Pickl' has a winning formula. One table, one seating, 16 strangers that become friends by the end. Add excellent food using local ingredients with a Mexican flare & a great host, Jerome, it checks all the boxes. Our French is 1/10 but the fellow guests & Jerome were happy to include us with English as needed. We felt like we went to a friends house for dinner. I'll recommend Verre Pickl' to anybody coming to Quebec City. Alex & Jerome truly believe in local ingredients & we love supporting local farmers. The wine pairing was well thought out & a great addition to the set menu.

Thank you, Jerome, for a wonderful evening. Outstanding meal of local, seasonal ingredients with Mexican influence. Every course was memorable & top notch. The Mexican inspired corn was perfection; the scallop crudo & lamb tacos were absolutely delectable; & peach dessert was incredible. I really appreciate Jerome modifying things to make it all gluten & lactose free for me. Warm, welcoming & relaxing vibe. Hope to return next time we're in Quebec.

Notre première expérience & certainement pas la dernière !! Le mariage entre la cuisine mexicaine & des ingrédients locaux était tout simplement sublime. Jérôme nous a offert un service hors pair. Le menu 5 service était excellent, nous nous sommes régalés! Je vais certainement en parler à tout mon entourage! Merci encore à Alexandra & Jérôme pour leur accueil chaleureux, quelle belle soirée!
