Très bon cocktail (mention spécial pour le Margherita spicy) & bonne assiette de frites parmesan.
Un serveur sur deux pas disposé à travailler (un des rares restaurants bar où je ne vois pas le sourire canadien au service du client, vous dérangez) la serveuse plutôt agréable mais tous semblaient à deux à l'heure , bref je suis contente de ne pas être restée dîner vu les commentaires (dommage)

What a cool place! & old bank with important history. We were sat along an open window which was the best of both worlds. Cool inside vibe while feeling like we were part of hustle & bustle of Rue des Jardins. We had the salmon dish & the steak frites paired with a wonderful Bordeaux! A great way to prepare for the spectacular fireworks display which followed!

Great meal - we had steak frites & shared the raspberry tart for dessert. Raspberries were so fresh! Spicy margarita was nice - just a back note of heat. Will be back.

Bien pour du volume touristique.
Malheureusement on a payé 200$ & plus & 2 repas ratés :/ … cependant le steak frites est bon.
Ambiance sympa.
On ne penses pas revenir car pour le prix on a pas eu de chance. C'est dommage l'endroit est joli.

Nous sommes allés manger en famille chez Alphonse, dans le Vieux-Québec, & malheureusement, notre expérience a été très décevante.

J'ai commandé les carbonaras. Elles sont arrivées froides, avaient simplement le goût de pâtes au beurre & étaient remplies de gras de bacon. Les pâtes étaient toutes collées ensemble, comme si elles avaient été réchauffées au micro-ondes.

Ma marraine a pris le saumon. Il était tellement trop cuit qu'il était sec. Les frites étaient beaucoup trop salées, au point où elles étaient presque immangeables.

Ma mère a commandé le tartare. Il avait été tellement mariné dans le vinaigre balsamique que ça chauffait dans la bouche & le goût du boeuf était complètement masqué.

Le service n'a pas été meilleur. Après avoir débarrassé notre table, personne n'est revenu nous voir. Après plus de 40 minutes d'attente, nous avons dû nous lever pour demander la facture & aller payer directement au comptoir.

Bref, une expérience très décevante autant pour la qualité de la nourriture que pour le service. Nous ne recommandons malheureusement pas ce restaurant.

I love the food here for they have a very excellent b?ef & frite, that came perfectly with sauce
One more recomment is sourdough breat grill with bùtter . I think they mixed butter with salt & mapple syrup, that caused exotic flavour.
Price is also cômfortable with nice & supportive waiters & waitresses

The waitress who greeted us was RUDE. She was clearly distracted & not listening when my in laws were trying to order. They took the time to specifically indicate that all plates they order should have all meat removed/omit as they're vegetarian.
She disregarded this. It started raining & the rest of the staff was kind enough to help us move as we were outside.

I had the cream of broccoli, flavor wise it was acceptable nothing special, & the idea or whole sunflower seeds in a cream was odd. The carbonara was absolutely awful. I did take the time to point out to the waitress that it was a huge disappointment, she attempted to indicate that removing shallots caused the flavor to change drastically.'We do it the Italian way'
The Italian way has no cream. The Parmesan is not in flakes on one side of the plate. The pancetta is clearly not flavorless. It was extremely bland to the point where I don't even think the cook put salt & pepper.
I had the steak frite which was much better but the fries on this plate compared to the fries we got as a side order did not have the same amount of Parmesan flavor-no consistency between dishes.
Salad was fresh.

As for the cook who was handling the cheese boards- might I remind you that under Quebec law absolutely no visible facial piercings are permitted in an area must be FULLY REMOVED. This is absolutely UNSAFE & UNSANITARY.

Beautiful restaurant with a nice patio, very close to the Chateau. We had the carbonara which was excellent, as well as the steak frites. Nice atmosphere & great spot to people watch.

Went for their lunch special, the food was very good especially the steak frite. Kids friendly small cozy spot in the heart of old port. Prices are consistent with other restaurants around hence the lunch special we chose was more on the budget side. Would go back.
