The food is OK for the price but the main issue was the service really dragged out. We ordered our mains at the same time as our first round of drinks came out but our full sitting ended up being over two hours with a very long gap before the mains came out. No update or explanation was provided other than a brief sorry right at the time to pay so based on other reviews I have to assume this is normal.

Speaking of which, even getting the bill seemed to take a long time between asking for it & being allowed to pay. There are better places to eat in Quebec City at this price point even if you limit yourself to within 200m of this place.

This seems like the local popular spot for cocktails in downtown Quebec City. We stopped by for an after-dinner drink, as this was recommended to us by the wait staff at another local restaurant. The interior of the restaurant was bustling with fun art & decor, but we sat outside & had a different experience. The vibe looked fun indoors so we will have to try that next time. The outside patio was great for people watching. 4 stars for the outdoor experience but I would rate it 5 stars if we sat inside.

Never seen a slower service anywhere. Drinks taking 40 mins to arrive dinner service upwards of an hour. Food portions & quality mediocre. Especially disappointing considering the price. Would avoid if you value your time & money.

The deco & ambience is great & the food was exceptionally delicious. Tried a mezcapital cocktail which was different but a very good seller & tried the Japanese blonde, very refreshing. The only downside of our experience is our drinks arrived way after our food but everything else was pretty good. It was also going to be nice is we had information about the Chef's special of the day.

Food was decent. Small portions but expensive. My steak was undercooked. Good quality though. Nice atmosphere. Service was okay. Two drinks, an appetizer & two entrees 150$.

The dining room can get loud but sitting near the windows in the warmer months helps keep the noise down.
The food & drinks are fantastic. As usual the service.

We came to get drinks at Alphonse today. It was clear they were busy, & we waited patiently. Part of our group arrive earlier, & heard the commotion caused by another patron who recently reviewed. They yelled at the staff & were quite rude, whereas the staff responded with grace & humility. Things take time, & it's a beautiful location to enjoy while waiting between busy service. Everyone has been kind & helpful, despite the clear business. Wonderful drinks & atmosphere. Wonderful staff. We would be back & recommend to all.

Right in the heart of Old Quebec & just steps away from the famous umbrella street, Alphonse offers a stylish, cozy spot for dinner or drinks.

The restaurant is beautifully set in a historic old bank building, with a warm interior & a lively vibe. Service was friendly & attentive.

The food was decent - nothing particularly memorable, but everything was well-cooked & nicely presented. Great cocktails & lovely ambiance make it a pleasant stop if you're exploring the Old Town.

Ideal for a relaxed meal with a nice view & atmosphere, especially if you're in the area for photos under the umbrellas!

Very happy to have been there. It was raining cats & dogs, which is why we reached the location very late. The attendant was very kind, as she offered us food & made is feel very hospitable. Left with good memories. Grateful
