This seems like the local popular spot for cocktails in downtown Quebec City. We stopped by for an after-dinner drink, as this was recommended to us by the wait staff at another local restaurant. The interior of the restaurant was bustling with fun art & decor, but we sat outside & had a different experience. The vibe looked fun indoors so we will have to try that next time. The outside patio was great for people watching. 4 stars for the outdoor experience but I would rate it 5 stars if we sat inside.

Une excellente expérience globale chez Chez Alphonse ce dimanche soir à 18h ! La nourriture était succulente & le service irréprochable. Le seul bémol reste le coût, assez élevé & pas accessible à tous (notamment 21 $ pour un verre de vin de 8 oz & 10$ pour le potage). Une facture totale de 204 $ pour deux personnes sans dessert : c'était très bon, mais à ce prix-là, on peut trouver aussi bien, voire mieux, ailleurs.

Morgane était superbe. Excellent service de A à Z… merci je reviendrai assurément pour l'expérience personnalisé . Un + pour le chef, délectable!!

We ordered chef's special which was grilled duck, prawns & rice, & an extra soup. Soup was great, lemon rice was super delicious but duck was overcooked & hard to chew, which was quite unfortunate. Service was average.

Venu juste pour boire un verre je suis finalement resté pour manger leur salade niçoise qui fut très bonne .

We visited Alphonse three times during our long weekend stay in Old Quebec City. Morgann & her team run a fabulous restaurant! Definitely will visit again when in town.

Very disappointing. We had the chicken which was tough, the carrots were almost still raw, & the mashed potatoes gluey. Would not recommend.

The place itself is good but the food wanted a little, my boyfriend & I have been to the restaurant a few times, & yes the food was good. More than a while for here it was very bad, our steak seemed that it was only heated in the microwave literally & its face & also the flavor was not good, & it was also small.

& the service was horrible the girls in a rush & it was more important the people who were eating on the terrace & not inside the restaurant, a not very nice experience
