Amazing experience of a gourmet authentic traditional Canadian food. A must visit place. The historical building is partially renovated, with most of it dating back to 1675.
A restaurant in a historical building serving traditional Quebecois meals. It was such a great pleasure to be able to eat here & have this experience. Very charming & a must go when in Quebec City.
Fabulous restaurant in Old Quebec. I believe on the outside of the building a marker plate dated it to 1675. Food & service were exceptional. Highly recommended!
Party of eight, very enjoyable meal. Cordial & knowledgeable staff. Quick service & tasty dishes, mostly on the heavier side. Interesting, historic building.
They have a gluten free menu & I had the escargot & Les Trois Mignons of cerf, wapiti, & bison, which was delicious. I learned on the walking tour it is the oldest building in Quebec City! Full of charm & warm ambience.
A little pricey because they cater to tourists but not in an exploitative way - the food is indeed very good. Great way to get acquainted with traditional Canadien cuisine, which is very heavy & best enjoyed in colder weather. Nice atmosphere in a building dating back 300+ years.
This is my favourite restaurant in old Quebec City!! So quaint & the food....delicious homestyle cuisine with very generous portions. You will not walk away hungry!!! Oh & you gotta try the grand-mere's treat & the maple syrup bread pudding. Friendly & welcoming staff who are more than happy to answer any questions about the menu! Set in a historical building just a few steps away from Chateau Frontenac & other hotels! Make your reservation here for a memorable dining experience!!
This restaurant offers traditional Quebec cuisine, with dishes like poutine & meat pie delivering the expected authentic flavors. It's highly recommended for those looking to experience traditional-style cooking. Besides the food, the decor & dining environment are also impressive. The building & wall paintings appear to have many years of history, & the classic menus & plates enhance the dining experience. Additionally, the service is very elegant, & the prices are reasonable, ensuring you leave satisfied & not hungry.
Food is not great & the atmosphere is very outdated. It is an older building but the interior design is lacking & aged. Our server was the lone bright spot.
