Great old house decorations as well. Definitely one of the best sports to eat local dishes other than poutine. They have a well curated menu & some special dishes. The house wine paired perfect & the dessert I recommend maple bread pudding
Excellent rapport qualité - prix. On s y est réfugié pour échapper à la pluie, mais on était très agréablement surpris, il ne s agit pas du tout d'un restaurant attrape -touriste, les portions sont généreuses, les plats délicieux & bien servis & le service très aimable & efficace, rien à dire, je recommande vivement.

Legendary traditional Quebec food that we look forward to every time we visit Quebec! Not a bad bite on the menu. Standouts are Bison bourguignon, lobster bisque & maple bread pudding. Our waiter Sam was the best. Highly recommend!
The most expensive seafood platter with 4 shrimp , 2 scallions & 1 piece of crabmeat. 65+ $ The reedbeet salad 🥗 was nothing special. I would not recommend.
Excellent food in a beautiful, historic setting. Highly recommend the Table d'hôte - one price for a complete meal (appetizer, entree, dessert plus wine or beer). We have eaten here twice & every dish has been delicious. Portions are large & there's a significant discount if you're there before 17:00.
Dining inside what is considered the oldest house in Quebec was so charming. Our waitress was very friendly & the food was absolutely incredible! For appetizers, my family enjoyed the very cheesy escargot dish & my dad absolutely loved the French onion soup. In terms of entrees, the filet mignon dish was tasty & the meat pie (which I was looking forward to trying in Quebec) was better than I could have ever imagined & I really enjoyed its flaky crust. For desserts, we chose the chocolate pie & the maple crème brûlée, & they were nothing short of spectacular. In fact, the crème brûlée was the best I have ever eaten! Since ordering dishes individually can really add up, I recommend ordering in the form of a formule ($39.99+ for 1 drink + 1 appetizer + 1 entree + 1 dessert), which allows you to try a complete meal for a fraction of the cost of ordering each component individually. Overall, I enjoyed dining at Aux Anciens Canadiens & hope to be back again someday!
