We were recommended Aux Anciens Canadiens by previous visitors to Quebec City & it didn't disappoint.The food & service was excellent.Our server Noemie was fantastic. You couldn't ask for a nicer young lady..My wife & I had Grandmas treat with a pea soup appetizer & crème brûlée for dessert.It was all very good.Definitely will return the next time we're in Quebec City

We had heard wonderful experiences of this place so we were disappointed that the food was mediocre, to say the least. Duck confit was cold & the meat pie was so full of cloves that my husband couldn't tell what he was eating. Portions are large & we wasted a lot of food. Creme brulee saved the day. Expensive mistake. Won't recommend this place.

Had a superb traditional Quebec dinner at this popular restaurant housed within a building which originated in the 1670's. The beef & bison pie dishes were delicious. Service was friendly & professional. A highly enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommended.

We were sent here by the bellman from the Frontenac & should have taken the time to speak to the concierge for a recommendation. The restaurant is quite charming & the service was good but the food is just OK & doesn't warrant the prices. Some items were tasty & flavorful, but others tasted like they came out of a can. The pea soup was watery & disappointing.

Ficamos uma semana de férias em Québec e perguntamos a alguns locais sugestões de um bom restaurante típico... e recomendaram-nos este! Ficamos muito satisfeitos com a escolha... o restaurante é acolhedor, a comida é deliciosa e caseira e o atendimento simpático. Uma ótima experiência que recomendamos sem hesitar.

Super overpriced, subpar quality food. There are many amazing restaurants in Quebec City, but this is not one of them. While there is novelty to the age of the building, it's just not enough to justify the prices here.
If you like an overpriced tourist trap, congratulations, you found one

I had the bison bourguignon & it was very tasty! Don't expect to end up super full tho. I love this place =) waitress was super nice
